It seems that the hack was an erroro on the phone not the software. I think we tried to install an apple app on an android. That was doomed from the start. Tech support has contacted me again and we are working on even the very small issues with this software. It is working fine on my pc and two Iphones now. SO we are goodNow if this hold up longer than the other brand i have been using. I will be very happy. Set up is challenging. The little manual they send you with this unit is not much help. The cell phone app is very good once you figure it out. Just do a lot of searching on you tube and you will find lots of help there. Now finding the PC software was much more difficult. Not to mention after finding it getting it past MY AV software and getting it set up.Their tech support is wonderful. Now you need to take into consideration that these fine folks are in China. So time difference. But once you get into it with them, they are relentless. They will get your issue fixed. My person was on holiday and still responded and helped me through the setup. Now that is tech support at its finest.So far the images are stunning. Not sure about that 492 foot night vision. But this thing has a powerful zoom for sure. Not to mention that they were smart enough to put the reset button on a small cable outside of the camera. This helps a lot. I have only had it up for a few days but so far i love it. I will edit this after it has been in some inclement weatherAs of this date 02/28/24 the gear drive for rotation has started freezing and stalling causing a major issue. So for the money this one lasted less time than the cheaper ones. So I would not suggest buying this if you expect it to last.

Wow, this camera is fantastic and unmatched for the value. PTZ controls are snappy via the app, ONVIF support allows this camera to be easily adopted to Unifi Protect (although no PTZ control support yet, but that is an Unifi issue) and Frigate support works well too.Connection via POE makes this an easy buy, and the zoom is incredible. The picture of this 5MP sensor quality rivals my 8MP cameras all day, and the image is very sharp well past the optical zoom (20x+) range.PTZ action is silent, which was important for me.

Being satisfied with the last product I proudly purchased the upgraded version, I am amazed with the clarity and all the perks that this camera comes with, the price is amazing, it is easy to set up and the quality of the reception is remarkable. Best of all customer service is great I will continue to purchase this product in the future.

The media could not be loaded. This camera is awesome!!!!!!! Excellent value for the money. I will absolutely be purchasing more of these. It was the easiest camera to get into blue iris. Not sure if this camera can be beat for the price and features it provides.

Great camera for video... First, I am not a novice nor am I a pro but the camera was very easy to replace an old camera... easy setup, and installed in my Northern NVR. This is my second Jidetech and very happy with video. My issue is at dawn and dusk the cameras switch back and forth to IR mode and Daylight Mode. Support has sent me info on adjustments to try.UPDATE: First, both camera's (same model, few months apart) have an issue with setting alarms. In both Motion Detect and Intelligent Detect, I can not select customized rectangles/squares alarm areas. This should be a simple task as I have done on many camera's from another brand.Second, the Customer Support you see in description is in China... if you live in the US that's 8-12 hours difference. If you have something easily solvable, support is good just wait until next day... If you have an issue that requires them to remotely go into your camera's, prepare to meet the "ENGINEER" in the middle of the night.UPDATE (9/24/24): I still have issues with both camera's at dusk/dawn with IR mode and Daylight Mode switching in/out... I have adjusted all settings suggested by the seller, through trial/error, I have got them close but still not 100%. I have never owned camera's that did not properly/smoothly transition from day mode to night mode. Setting Alarm (Intelligent and Motion) area's is still not happening. Intelligent area is nearly impossible to select your own area and Motion area, you can not select your own area. It's either all blocks or none... If anyone owning these camera's has a fix, please send it to me!!! Both camera's do the same thing, (or doesn't do what they should). Additional info: there support tech tried for an hour via "remote" to fix the cameras to no avail. At this point, these camera's are only being used for video... not as security camera's.Two Stars for great video only... Zero Stars for IR Mode/Daylight Mode, not able to use Alarm Modes, and support lag time.

The camera itself is pretty good. It works best viewing live. If after you’ve recorded something, you need to for instants, zoom in on a license plate.. the quality isn’t the same so you’ll have to fight with it on some other program getting what you need. The sound coming from the camera is muffled and at times you can’t make out what’s being said at all. The reason i returned the camera is because of the app. It’s very shady and very difficult to use. Customer service is ran in a different country so you can never get in touch with them. The app itself to view videos and footage from is really slow and a lot of times just didn’t work.. still not sure why I couldn’t log into it for 4 days but that’s when I decided to return it and hopefully get American made. For the price of $300.. you shouldn’t expect all these issues, i wouldn’t waste time buying this.

I've had this camera for a year now and it has done great. The zoom on this camera is amazing and the video quality is very good. For the price, you can't go wrong.Support is also very good. They quickly helped me resolve an issue with the night LEDs and were very courteous.I'm really liking these Jidetech cameras.
