This kind of mat is really useful for determining the path of your swing. I have a tendency to slice and using this mat helps me correct this issue. When you swing you can easily see your swing path as it lifts the nap of the fabric. I would be happy just to get the ball to go consistently straight, so I haven't used it to work on fades or draws. Those techniques are way too advanced for me at this point. But I'm sure it would be really helpful if you were working on those as well. I also appreciate that it comes with extra inserts. The fabric does wear thin after a while and it's nice to just be able to plug in a new insert.

It is hard to determine if your club face is open, closed, or if you are swinging in a straight line without using this mat. I have also used a golf camera to help understand my swing, but have to say dollar for dollar, swing for swing, you can’t go wrong with this mat, as the pattern left by your club dragging across the top does not lie!I like the fact that I can work on my swing indoors over the winter with the impact mat.Possible Caveat?My only concern was if I am standing on the ground and the impact mat is elevated approximately 1 inch, will muscle memory have me digging 1 inch into the fairway when I get to a real course?To remedy this possibility, I placed an artificial turf piece down that is about 1 inch thick for me to stand on and placed the impact mat beside it on the floor. This way, my ball will not be an inch higher than the ground.Overview:You can’t go wrong with using this mat to help you understand and correct your swing!

This is a very nice practice mat. It is designed to give you feedback on your swing, and it does that. If you use this enough, the material that provides that feedback will wear and become less useful. They do include extra pads for that exact reason, and I believe you can buy more. I didn't really buy this for the feedback feature, but more to have a level surface to hit off of into my practice net. It serves that purpose fantastic. So, you could possibly keep one mat that is just for hitting and use a new mat if you specifically want the swing feedback. Overall, a good option for hitting mats.

This is a good training aid for golfers working on ball first contact with their irons. It works as intended, but the durability makes me understand why they include so many extra mats. After about a hundred swings it was hard to get the fibers to lay flat again. All in all, it does its job and it comes in cheaper than similar training aids. So I would recommend this product. Especially in the off season.

I love this golf mat. It is so helpful for practicing and I love how they give you multiple packs for when the lines start coming off and you want a replacement Overall good quality and worth it.

The media could not be loaded.  I am a beginner golfer. I am usually on the driving range, but I wanted to get something to mess around with when I am at home. Please note, this is for outdoor use. I am only having this indoors to show how it is supposed to work. This is for outdoor use.I love the instructions. If they are set up on a stand which I will do later, they outline how the golf swings work. It does show how you hit the mat because you can't really gauge that at the range. When you are finished analyzing how the hit went, you brush the mat back to the way it was and begin again.This comes with 3 replacement mats compared to other brands. I thought the area would be bigger. The mat is the size of a placemat as best as I can estimate, a doormat-sized mat would have been better. It is a little small. But it does show the direction of how the club hit and the mat itself is a heavy-duty rubber, think those heavy shop mats or the baseball base material. It is thick and heavy like that.The mats are velcroed in, which is fine, and if the velcro gets bad it is replaceable. Once again this is not for indoor use. The size is why the 4 stars.
