My girl LOVES this food- I also use it as high value treats!
This is a REALLY high quality dog food, and apparently really delicious too! Raw is so healthy, and freeze dried raw makes it so much easier on the humans. I use this as a topper with kibble (though my dog would love if this was her only food), but I also keep about 1/3 of every bag to use as very high value training treats. We love:+ My 50 lb pittie girl would like you to know that this is the most delicious food, ever, and that she will happily comply with any command you give if you are holding one of these precious nuggets in your hand.+ I feel good about how healthy it is. Not just because it's freeze dried raw, which is awesome, but because it is full of real foods like chicken, chicken organs, eggs, fruit, and veggies. It has no additives or preservatives.+ The nuggets are perfect for training treats because they are small but still super high value. My girl wags herself like a slinky when I get these out; I always use them for learning new skills because she is SO motivated by them.Bottom Line: As you can see I did get my first bag for free, as a Vine reviewer. BUT I continue to buy it on my own because it's such great quality.

Dogs LOVE it !!
Now, my boys gobble their food anyway but they truly loved the bison!A little expensive for 80 and 100 pound dogs but I used it as a topper over another freeze dried and will continue to treat them as long as I can afford to!

Shepherd Boy Farms Freeze Dried Dog Food
If you've ever bought freeze dried dog food before, you know it's not cheap. This Shepherd Boy Farms Freeze Dried dog food is expensive, but that is because it's made of quality ingredients using an expensive process that helps retain the freshness of the quality ingredients. Our dogs loved this stuff (as did our cats), so while being expensive, I think it's mostly worth it. Just be aware that with freeze dried, your cost to feed goes up significantly. Personally, I recommend mixing this with other premium food to make a more complete and tasty meal for your pups.

π€¦πΌCan't believe I forgot to snap a pic/vid of my dog enjoying this π€¦πΌ I've given this to my dog in small amounts and as topper over the last two months. He's never turned his nose to it, and licks the bowl clean. The Shepherd Boy Farms Bison is one that I'd order again. Wholesome ingredients sourced locally and made in Indiana, USA. I knew every ingredient in his food, and didn't have to worry about funky additives or imported ingredients. Most notable is rather than just stating Bison as the ingredient, they list exactly which parts are included. The packaging does reseal, though I always transfer to jars. With knowing what ingredients are in his food, I have no problem recommending Shepard Boy Farms. I'd even order additional bags. This is absolutely a keeper for me!

Fully doggie approved! Fish Medley stinks but they seem to love it.
Freeze dried so you get a lot more than you expect. You cannot compare the weight of freeze dried food to regular stuff. This is a decent sized bag. It isn't cheap, but you get a good amount. I use it as a topper so it will last a little longer. Both of my dogs go crazy when I get this out because they smell it and they start drooling. This is probably their favorite topper, and I add about 1/3 c to each of their bowls along with their regular food. One dog is a glutton and will just eat everything. While she loves this, she doesn't seem to go out of her way to eat just this if it is separated into one area of her bowl. The other dog is usually a little more picky. If I put this into a small area, he will seek it out and eat this first before the regular food which means he really likes this! I will definitely get more once this is all gone. It is nice for them to get a little variety in their food since they have eaten the same stuff for a few years now....

good product.
I have 2 dogs. One of my dogs ( leo) is a picky eater and I have found over time that he wont eat dry, plain food so I often have to mix in food to get him to eat his dry food. Leo actually loves this taste of this stuff by itself but it also lasts awhile. I take 5 or 6 pieces and break it up with my fingers into smaller finer pieces to mix into his food and he eats ALL of it (including the dry food). If I were giving this food by itself it would not last more than 4 to 5 days with my dogs but using 5 to 6 pieces and breaking it up to mix into regular dry food for flavoring purposes has made a difference for my dogs.I have been using the same bag for over a month now and still have a quarter of the bag left. I would recommend this product for picky eaters to mix it with regular food or by itself. Cost saving is better to mix it in with regular dry food.

Very Good
Great ingredients (though I am a little weary of sweet potato with all of the DCM confusion going on), made in the USA, and my dog loves it. I roughly measured about 10 cups in the bag, which--according to their chart--would feed my 80lb dog for 2.5 days. The price breakdown is $15.10/day, which is on the very high end of what I spend feeding her fresh raw. That said, in my 5 years of making food for my dog (1 year of which has been raw), I've come to realize that there is no quality AND cost-effective freeze-dried option. I get freeze-dried food for convenience when I'm tight on time or in case of emergency. I'm willing to pay a premium to have the time and thought it takes to make quality food done for me. This product is also sourced and made exclusively in the USA, free-range, and is seemingly balanced well (I do wish pet food standards included more in-depth nutrition facts, but I can't fault this brand for that). The price is actually on the lower end of the freeze-dried raw market, and it seems to have more premium ingredients than a lot of others that I've seen.Overall, my dog and I are happy and impressed.
