Overall a great item, it works perfectly well on both carpet and hard floor. The design is slim so easy to slide out of the way. The colour is sufficiently neutral to fit in with any decor and the 50g increments are useful for weighing all sorts of things, not just bodies (live ones)

Good set of scales for a reasonable price. Accurate reliable reading. Nice and plain in appearance and fit in to bathroom fine. They are low profile and slim so easily slip under the bathroom cabinet for storage. Display is large and easy to read.

The scales seem to be accurate - time will tell. At first the weigh-ins were significantly out (not in a good way!) which were followed by a C. However, all seems to be OK now as the weight shown is the same as the old scales (Salter Doctor's Surgery scales, which we had to replace because the appliance was too large for the bathroom and the cat's kept bouncing on and off it). The style of the scales is very pleasing - easy to keep clean, and the size works with our bathroom layout. The display is very clear. Some might find fitting the battery a little fiddly but it is straight-forward with patience! Overall, very pleased with the purchase given the price.

Good quality accurate scales. We even managed to weigh our suitcase prior to flying abroad. At the airport the weight was exactly the same as our scales showed. Good display. Easy to change functions. The scales arrived in good time. Definitely worth paying a little extra.

Great scales, seem to work just fine with a minor caveat:When I move or lift the scales, the first reading I get is quite inaccurate. However, the second and subsequent readings are all accurate. Must be something to do with calibration and probably totally normal for digital scales.As with all scales, you should always keep them in the same place and position, as not all ground is level and this can affect the accuracy of readings. Since keeping mine on the same tile in the bathroom, my readings have all been completely accurate.They feel sturdy but aren’t too heavy, and are very easy to operate. You simply stand on the scales and they automatically switch on and give you a reading. You can choose from kilograms as well as stones and pounds.I would definitely recommend these. Just exercise common sense and don’t expect the reading to be accurate if you’re the sort of person to weigh yourself in arbitrary places on different surfaces.

I previously has a Salter scale which worked well for 12 years, and have been very disappointed with the new one. I have to put it out on the floor to use it, which means it has to recalibrate itself because it as been moved. The first time you stand on it, it gives a false high reading, then shows "C" when you get off. When that goes away you can stand on it a second time and with luck you will get a correct reading. After a couple of months use it stopped showing anything at all, but i could get it working by removing and refitting the battery. Finally that failed as well and I have now discovered the battery is flat - after only 3 months use! My previous Salter lasted for years without needing replacement batteries, so i am seriously unimpressed with the new replacement.

There is an inexcusable design flaw in the battery retaining flap. This is held in place by a tiny "grub" srew which has to be unscrewed in order to access for battery change. This head is minute and can only be remove using a hardened jewellers screwdriver or bit. How many users will have this equipment or knowledge and will hence risk stripping the thread rendering this model of Bathroom Scale junk?Poor industrial design which neglects the users need to replace batteries over a lifetime of several years at least.Solution, if this kit fits a larger diameter tapped hole and a bigger"grub screw" than the battery retaining fitting would be more secure and last longer, and easier to remove.As it is, poor industrial design neglecting your users need to change batteries with ease and the long term life of this sophisticated, expensive kit. Looks good though and functions effectively as long as the battery lasts but not in the present form easy changed without trouble.Ask what users require and consider the life cycle life time of operations and users together, basic teaching in decent design schools.I f you have this unit consider the following: drop a very small amount of penetrating oil, leave, wipe and only remove the screw using a good quality hardened jewelers screw driver (find at model shops).Take out a small screw from the wider back of the scale and replace the battery screw with it, the smaller "battery" screw will screw back into this vacant hole, be CAREFUL.

Replaced older ones, love this item, great for just standing on, and in a couple of minutes your weight.Can also change to kg and lbs.
