Not Just For Dementia
I got this for my special ed. students to use. They love all of the different "fidgets" attached to it. I like that they are connected to the blanket so the fidget can't be thrown. This has very many different textures and things to do. It is also a great size. Sits on their laps nicely.

Nice fidget blanket/book, but a bit child-like
I love the idea of a fidget blanket for adults with dementia or brain injury, so I have looked at a few different ones. This one has all the usual tasks: zippers, buttons, snaps, buckles, velcro, etc, but also has some unique ones: carpeting, beads, sequence, and other unique tasks. I like that it is a blanket, but is also a book, so it fits well on a lap, but fits in more tasks. All of the tasks work and seem sturdy. The only complaint that I have about it is that the colors and materials are more child-like than adult. Not every adult with dementia wants childish things, I'd love to see more fidget things for adults in a more adult design, it can give more dignity. If you don't mind having something that looks more like a child's toy, I do recommend this fidget blanket for adults.

Extremely Soft Cover, Engaging Activities Inside
The first thing that I noticed about this fidget blanket is how amazingly soft the blanket cover is; it also has texture bump patterns that are soft as well. It is nice to have open on a lap to provide a little warmth. The activities inside are fun and practical. Things that most individuals with dementia are familiar with like different closures: zippers, snaps, buttons, loops, and buckles. The heart, star, and flower are held on with Velcro, so is the blue key ring on the next page which makes them interchangeable. The threading of the blue ribbon on the striped square is threaded through and can be unthreaded and threaded back. The beads on the ribbon can be moved up and down and can be used for counting, as well as simple addition and subtraction. The hair type coils on the strap are fun to pull and stretch and to watch them go back to their original size.I can see this book would be fun and engaging for people with dementia and used as a learning tool for young children, those who have learning disabilities, and sensory needs. The soft cover is calming and provides sensory input. The different textures also provide sensory input which reinforces using the book.

A good product for those who know what it should be used for.
This is one of those items you may not know you need for someone until they're going through it and you finally see it in action. This is one of those fidget themed books that really only those with dementia, and possibly small children will find use for. And yes it is a book and not a blanket like the description says for some reason. There's lots of little activities in here to keep one's hands busy and help distract a person. It's pretty decent quality, and I think it'll hold up to extended repeated use for quite some time. Definitely a product I would recommend if you have a family member who is suffering from dementia.

Perfect for someone with dementia
If you have ever dealt with someone that has dementia, it can be challenging. Especially when they revert back to the behavior of a child. I was very skeptical about getting this because I thought it may seem like something for kids. But I was surprised that when I gave it to my mom, she looked at everything and did it. It held her attention for a little while. Each little activity she observed and touched it, took it off of the Velcro, moved things around, zipped and unzipped, etc. Some things she didn’t understand what to do, but needless to say, it was a better outcome than I expected. I like that it looks like a notebook, but when you open it, there are activities. I think this is absolutely wonderful and I’m glad I got it for her. Anything to keep her occupied and something that she considers to be entertaining. I HIGHLY recommend this. A dementia patient will pay attention to every detail and ask what some things are. But with patience and going through it with them, they will love it. I’m SO happy!!!

Similar to a toddler activity book
There are many activities in this book that would keep someone occupied for quite some time. It is different from others because it is not just two-sided, there are pages you can flip through. The reason for my three stars is because it does not seem like it is really great quality. The sequins are falling off, the red yarn is shutting, and the buttons are loose so I imagine that it would come off soon. Otherwise, the concept of this is great
