Bought for a gift. Was informed it holds a charge well, is very bright, and has easy to use control buttons

This is no where near the 5k lumnes they claim it to be and it does not last 4hrs on high.

Two items -The flashlight is easy to use with a single button rotating through the settings (bright, lower, dim, strobe, SOS). The entire body is aluminum so the unit is sturdy and well made.The beam is controlled by sliding the forward ring back or forth. Fully retracted the beam is a square with cross hairs dividing the beam into equal quadrants. Fully extended the beam area is very wide (perhaps 50' across).There a no issues with illumination on the bright setting - picnic tables easily seen at 75', the side of a building at 300'.The battery charge level is easily read, the battery included is recharged through a USB cable (USB C to the light, USB A for the charging port) and uses a standard HLV 26650 style - readily available on the internet.Included was a compact blacklight. This light was also controlled by a single button (bright, lower, dim, off). On the bright setting this light is very bright and clear. It's primary use will be to find organic residue both in the kitchen and restrooms. (The amount of missed residue on pots, pans, ovens, and appliance surfaces was alarming. The restrooms looked clean but failed under the light.)The blacklight is a very useful tool and will also provide younger people enjoyment as they look for fluorescent items around the house (e.g., driver's license, checks, etc.)Overall a great flashlight that is sturdy, easy to use and very bright. The blacklight has a strong beam and worth it's weight when checking for organic material.
