This shade cover system was the perfect solution for us. It was pretty straight forward to install and looks great. If you prefer less draping, order a shorter length than you measure. They provide extra cable footage, so you won’t end up short- you’ll just have less cover draping down.

I am turning my ugly patio to something special and pretty . Quality was better than my expectations, very easy to install, very pretty fabric, I have beige , elegantly colored and nice draping, it comes with lots of hooks , screws, wires , good price . Also I am installing for permanent location , we will not move so I can not say anything about shade but perfect coverage of my patio ceiling. Highly recommended .

I have a small brick bungalow which is at ground level. My wife had been bugging me for a porch, but because of it being ground level that was not going to work. Instead I poured a pad on one side of the front and then built a pergola over it. SO it looks nice and met her desire for a porch. That is until the fact the it faces south and the sun beats down on you when you set there. She mentioned putting a roof on the pergola but again to me that was not the answer. So when I saw this item, I thought I would see how this worked.Needless to say, while I ordered this awhile ago, living here in Michigan and even though it’s April, the weather has not cooperated such that I could try this out. I mean it snowed here today even.I got these free as part of the Vine program, but I only participate to try things that I actually need and will use. I try to give a fair and honest opinion and the rating you see is based solely on how my actual needs were met. But since I have not been able to get out to install these yet, this rating is based solely on the fact this is what I had been thinking of doing for the pergola, that reading the details makes it seem like it would work.I will recommend once i get these in and checked out. It will be a few weeks more before I can do this though.

I have an atrium in the middle of the house and the sun beats down and heats up the house very fast. I found these u sail shades, they look very nice and stylish. Decided to give a shot. Turned out to be a great investment. The installations are easy but time consuming. required accurate measurements. Very please after finishing the project. My wife loves it.

We have an area we frequently walk between cabins.We have covered porches that cover most of it but we needed something to cover about 10 feet.This is a 3x12 and it doesn’t have to be fully expanded.It’s adjusts to a bit of a smaller size if needed.I put up pictures so you can see mine has a deeper scalloped look because the cable was shortened by about 2 feet.One end of this is against a cabin.We installed the hardware on the side of our patio roof on one side then had to install a board that sticks out a few feeton the other end.This doesn’t blow around in the wind.That could be in part because it’s almost touching a cabin and it breaks the wind.We don’t have it level, one side has a cabin that’s taller than the other side by about a foot.It still hangs & closes just fine.You can choose which side you want to open & close or just attach both so it doesn’t close.Once you figure out what end to secure, the operating string goes on the end that you want to open or close.You can put it on either side of the end you choose.It also come with a hook on a stick with a padded handle to help spread it out or assist with opening & closing.I have a patio loveseat under this and it provides enough shade to keep the sun off of the loveseat and still have a shaded place to walk.It’s made of sun shade material.

I am using this as a sunshade on one side of our porch, for the afternoon sun. It works very well. I like the design a lot. For me, it installed easily, but I'm 70 and have every tool imaginable so take that with a grain of salt.5 stars. I can’t say on durability, but will return to this review if this fails in a year.Note: I have been an Amazon customer for almost 20 years. I was pleasantly surprised at how well these are constructed, and initially surprised at how heavy the box was on my porch.I'm actually using this one as a window shade at present, and it does a very nice job of blocking the hot sun and looking classy doing it. Same essential installation - just run it vertically and use aviation wire instead of mounting on my shade frame.Should give several years of service without any need for serious maintenance.Very good investment!

This SunnyRoyal Retractable Sun Shades for Pergola Canopy Shade Cover Wave Replacement Shade Sail for Outdoor Patio Porch Yard Garden 4' x 16' Beige, is a pretty interesting look compared to other sun shades sales, especially compared to the rectangular elongated ones. This gives a droop decorative look, a bit pricey at $110, though, and coverage is not as big unless I have to buy extra.
