The media could not be loaded.  There are bunch of reviews said google translate is a mile better than this divide I was very skeptical at first but since this is product is free return, I decided to give it a try!.I bought this because my mom is about to go out of town and she doesn't speak English. She's not familiar with google translate either.What I like about this product:- No internet required. This translator will works after being connected with Bluetooth and no WiFi or mobile data is required for it to work. So if I travel aboard and can't use my mobile data which mean I can't use google translate. This divide will be a great help.- No typing required.- The conversation is recorded and showed up on screen for my record.- It's pretty simple to use. There are three modes:+ single: requirement: two translators - the other speaker has to have their own translator.+ dual manual: requirement: your phone and the translator - You use your phone, and who you're talking with will use the translator+ Dual automatic: same as the previous one but you don't have to hold and release the button to talk.I recommend using the duplex mode (manual). On the TT app, on the left corner you will choose English or Spanish or whatever language you're fluent. Then you hold the record button on the screen and start speaking it. Your phone will translate it to the language you set on the right corner, let's say Japanese. Whoever use the translator will have to hold the circular button and release it when they finish. The translator will translate Japanese to English.left = phone, right = translator.I tested Vietnamese, Korean, Japanese, it works pretty accurate. Not 100% like sometime there will be one word in the sentence is mistakenly translated. But it's understandable. Same thing happens with google translate too. What I don't like:- The manual is bad written. I didn't know how to use it after reading the manual and have to look it up on you tube.- I make the translator listened a couple of sentences on google translate. Sometimes it translates 100% of them. Sometime the last sentence is missing.Overall, I think this translator, even thou not perfect, can be a great help when you travel abroad especially when you don't speak the language and don't have internet for google translate.

This item is absolutely garbage, the people that sell this item are scammers, this piece of junk doesn’t work. It wasted over two hours of my day and nothing, it gives you an error could not hear clearly. There is no number to call or website to research, don’t waste your money or your time this item isn’t worth it and it DOESNT work. You are warned!

Just received this. Took a bit to figure out the best way to use it. But, I did it. In the right setting, I can have an actual two way conversation with someone who speaks spanish, russian, chinese, vietnamese, and more... I run food pantries in schools for people from many cultures. That is an amazing tool! I highly recommend this! The inly reaon for only 4 stars is the strap to hang it around your neck isn’t high enough quality for an item of this price. Mine came apart, quickly. .Would hate to lose this!Oh, an added bonus, when it translates it translates it audibly, but into text, on your phone, as well. I find this helpful and interesting. And, if who you are talking with has limited hearing, that is helpful to them, as well.PS:this is goid for learning more words in other languages and to practice pronounciation. If you repeat the answer to your own question, you will know if you said it correctly by the translation it gives you.This is a no brainer for anyone who is learning a language or is working with people from other cultures who know limited english. Or, if you don’t speak english and meed things translated into your language from english, or a number of other languages.

Works ok when talking to someone on-on-one. Does not operated efficiently in a crowded and noisy environment.I like it as a learning tool.Most folks seem intimidated to speak into the device when you, especially when you put it in their face.My observation onlyDan

The media could not be loaded.  I bought as a gift for my mom and dad. They really like to travel, however they can't speak any language except Vietnamese language. So, I decided to buy this for them. At first, I was looking for a lot of others translator, but this one is small, lightweight and fit to my budget. I'd read through the review and seen mostly people had trouble with setting this up. However, I decided to buy it because I have in 30 days returning without any cost, so I gave it a try. First, When I got it, I read through the instruction and download the app to work with this device. Honestly, I had a trouble with the app, I tried to talk many times into the app and it still appeared " Didn't hear you Clearly". I tried to turn off the device and bluetooth from my phone, then I reconnect it. Same problem. Final chance, I deleted the app and downloaded it again, and now it works. Conclusion, I think the app has an issue to connect with the device and you just have to delete and download it again if you have a same problem like me. Otherwise, you're good.About this device, I think it's accurate up to 90%, the voice comes out is loud and clear as you can hear in the video I provide.I have to set up the first time into my mom and dad iphone. Then, whenever they use, they just have to turn on the bluetooth on.I still give them 5* because it works out of my expectation.

All the negative comments about difficult instructions are true. The supplied instructions are almost unreadable. I eventually succeeded (about an hour) in getting through the meaningless descriptions and installed the app and paired the device to my phone. Then I tested it. The error message "Didn't hear you clearly" appeared. Volume levels checked. Blue tooth checked. Lights on device blinking correctly (as best I can tell from the horrible English). "Didn't hear you clearly."The scant materials had no error message help. There was no contact information. No website. No email. "Didn't hear you clearly."Returned it.
