Is mefix tape supposed to have a smell to it? I bought this tape and it does

I can't say it has a strong smell but it does smell a bit, hope this helps. If it is very sticky its good Ive used it on my big toe for weeks and not once did it come undone or fall off, a very good product, if you need something that will keep skin stuck to the tape

is this waterproof and breathable

Water resistant (spashes etc) but definitely not waterproof. I would probably say it's semi-breathable. Been usung the product for several years (long term health issues). I have never experienced problems with skin irritation or other issued

Is this suitable for covering tattoos?

I am an enthusiastic supporter of Mefix, it has helped me walk without pain in my knees for the best part of a year, but I doubt whether it would be a satisfactory covering for tattoos. It is not very slightly and comes off after a couple of weeks and if it covers a joint it will develop creases. Having said that. the real answer to the question is that I don't know and I have never tried!

Is it sticky over the whole surface?

Yes it is. You peel off the paper and one side is completely sticky. Holds dressings in place brilliantly.

Very sticky and soft

Good quality fabric tape. Used this to help strap my toe when I broke it. Easy to peel of skin with minimal pain compared to other fabric tape that started to damage my skin

Amazing breathable tape - great for henna body art

The media could not be loaded. I use this tape for henna body art - mainly overnight to keep henna on the skin for long but without staining anything else. (As you can see in the video attached)It is breathable tape, that allows the henna to not melt and smudge but be intact.Doesn't hurt, is very sticky, might be a bit tricky to apply on self (to take the backing off and then stick to on your self without it sticking to it self and since its sticky it is hard to take apart from itself) but it gets easier once you use it a couple of times.Great value for money - I have stocked up on this tape, I have hardly finished my first roll and saw a slight decrease in price and thought why not stock up.

Works great

It's easy to cut to size (only what you need), put on & take off. Adhesion is ideal for most parts of the body when used to hold on dressings, but I'm currently using it on my foot & probably because of foot/toe flexing while walking it can turn up at the corners. If this happens I put on Hypafix as adhesion is stronger (Hypafix can be difficult for me to remove from the soles if my feet as adhesion is strong).
