Repair and Restore Your 400-Day Clock

Nice introduction to these clocks, plenty of info within, covers the basics which is great. I will however be getting to horolover book aswell

I've been 'messing with clocks' for a few months now and acquired a couple of 400 day 'anniversary' clocks which didn't run. This book and its reviews looked like it could be helpful without breaking the bank, so it was purchased via Amazon. Needless to say said clocks are now click, clicking away keeping excellent time. These are the first two clocks that I've stripped to the bare bones. This book is so helpful and easy to understand. I now have on order the Holorovar 400 Day Clock Repair Guide to gain more detail of these delightful clocks.

Bought this for my husband who is into mending clocks. He found it fascinating. I can't comment other than to say that he spends hours pouring over it ... and still hasn't completely managed to fully restore his 400 day clock. It's complicated apparently.

My clock is now running so the book did it's job of explaining how to get the clock running. I did have to borrow an ancient book from the library to find the correct spring to buy. It's surprising what the library has on occasions.

All I can say is thank you, as it was a gift for my dad and he was very happy with it.
