KoalaDirt Boot DLX OXFORD 5MM NEOPRENE CHEST WADER

I bought these waders to use on our boat. A launch usually demands that someone (me) gets in the water to release or hook up the boat. The integral boots give a very secure footing on weedy slipways or pebble beaches. They are quite warm when in use and quite a snug fit. All good so far. The chest pocket is splash proof but ultimately will let in water. How do I know this? I had the misfortune to go in Loch Etive. I floated to the surface, buoyed up by my life saver and my waders. They retained enough air to float my legs to the surface. This was a little surprising as they are a substantial piece of kit and no light weight . My phone was in the chest pocket and although the Velcro fastening was securely fixed, the pocket was full of seawater. Oh well. The boots dried out really well over the course of a couple of days, having been turned outside in as far as possible and hung up to drain. For the money they are a great buy. I would have liked a properly waterproof pocket but maybe that's just wishful thinking.

The second day that I wore them they developed a leak in the sole. I was told that I could not return them as a very experienced ghillie had put studs in the sole. I sent a photo showing that this was not where the leak was (I had followed their instructions, filling the leg with water to show where it was). Koala were not interested and told me that their guarantee was not valid due to the studs. They did not want me to return the unusable waders so that they could test them too. If the leak was due to the studs they would have leaked on day one. Not worth buying unless you are fishing on sand .

I love my new waders! I have 5 ponds so spend half my life up to my waste in muddy water. After several attempts with my Agilo willies I felt I needed something rather better and these are it. I spent all Saturday sat in the ponds rebuilding the waterfall and these are warm and dry with a solid footing on the ponds PVC liner. It is quite amusing getting them on and off and I don't think it is worth wearing much underneath. It was a warm day and by the end of play the thin Tee shirt and jeans where damp with SWEAT!All in all a great set of waders recommended!

Arrived as scheduled, fitted well and is warmer than my last waders as thicker ml wise - waiting for winter to go before venturing out into the Koi Pond to "test drive" it !!

Very snug for a lady.. I’m a 12 waist and 16 (36DD) top. So if your a lady and any bigger on top than this possibly not the waders for you. 🤦‍♀️they are of great quality although I do feel a little snug trying to fit my top half in them. These were the only set I could find in a sz6 for my feet. Other than that they are ok and haven’t got wet yet.

Bought them for our son who is mad keen fisherman. He loves them and went straight out on Boxing Day even in the cold. Great fit and nice and warm even had patches in pockets for any tears

If you like to get wet but stay dry then these waders will do the job. They are like a baggy wet suit with wellies stuck on the bottom, But for 40 Quid they do the job even if you do get a bit sweaty.
