Takes a bit of getting use to putting in piston and rings. Be careful not to damage rings when using. Takes some practice to use.

Rebuilt a Small Block Ford with these. The compressor is easy enough to use and the spring action is good to keep things tight. The spring does start misaligning during tightening, which can lead to issues during piston insertion if unnoticed. I had to keep adjusting the compression spring during tightening so it would be properly aligned with itself. It works, but as with everything, when rebuilding an engine, you need to take your time, maybe a bit extra time with this tool.The ring tool is not great, but again, will do the job. I had the rings slipped out of the jaws every single time, and had to readjust until it held them just so and then quickly slip them on. Only marginally better than just slipping them over (which is not recommended for the compression rings)
