I didn't oil before using, I was so excited, but after use 3 they started to squeak. After oiling, of course, they stopped squeaking 🤣They are extremely sharp! I nicked myself and bled heavily. So be careful and mindful of your snips.The straight edge doesn't include more razors, so you'll need to buy more. Any half razor fits, I personally prefer the Japanese razors.

Sharpness only lasted enough for like 5 cuts before getting kinda dull but they still look cool.

Bought this fire my nephew who wants to be a barber. Haven't heard anything negative about it from him.

I have only cut my sons hair twice and I used these for the top of his head as well to line up his sides. They do a good job but they aren’t exceptional quality that it will be effortless. I would recommend sharpening the shears at least to get a cleaner cut. Also replace the blade on the shaver before using. Never know the quality of the meta after shipping, so better to use a fresh blade for shaving in case of any cuts, you may get tetanus.

This is a good set of haircutting shears if you are looking for something that is a little bit more versatile than your standard hair cutting shears. It comes with a straight razor, a thinning shears, a regular set of haircutting scissors, a texturizing tool and then also has little plastic baggies for each item and cute, faux, leather bag with a zipper to store them in.For the price that you’re paying, these are definitely a good value. They’re sharp, they work well, they haven’t lead to an increase in split ends, and the quality is fairly nice. With that being said they’re not the highest quality that I’ve ever seen however, they will get the job done and if you’re just getting into doing your own hair, I can’t see why these wouldn’t be a good option.

Very nice set that has basically everything you need for a good hair cut and facial groom! This is actually the largest set I’ve found (I have been cutting hair around 20 years). The cut is clean and sharp, cuts super well and easy to clean. I love the fact it’s in a travel case even though I don’t travel with my scissors etc I do like keeping them dust free and orderly which this pouch offers. Small and portable yet holds just about every tool I use for both men (beard, shaving & hair) and women (hair). Overall it’s a really nice set, I’ve used it about two months now and haven’t had any issues at all
