5 arm on sale at $16 is a good value
I recently have gotten into a led panel project which require me to solder ALOT of strips together. I wanted some helping hands to hold things and to overall make the process easier. Just used them for the first time and have to say I’m pleased. The base is heavy and will actually be able to not get toppled easily. 5 arms is a really good number for what I’m doing. The arms can bend and rotate with ease and will hold their position after settling. Note by settling I mean when you set the position they will tend to move a smidge out of that position and then are solid. Have 5 arms but was given 6 clamps which is nice. Overall I just don’t have any complaints. I do wish all these helping arms weren’t so expensive but luckily this one is fairly priced.

clip base helping hand
Table base helping hand may overturn or tip in my experience. I tried this clip base which is very sturdy and easy to assemble. There is a magnifier and LED light with 3 modes to assist. I like the design. The only thing you need to know is the direction of the clip base which makes all helping hands come from the other side of the table and shortens the hands a little.

Great Value
I'll start by saying it is definitely worth the money. It has sturdy limbs that stay in position easily. The clamps feel secure. It seems like a durable product as well. The only issue seems to be it needs a heavier base, as it has a tendency to tip over unless you angle the limbs to counterbalance. All in all definitely a good buy though.

Rigid enough for my needs.
I use this on a soldering table. It handles all the push/pull I need it to. I remove the arms for some projects and thread them into hex nuts I tacked to a metal rail. The threads are the same as lamp/light fixture rods. 10 x 1.0 if memory serves me.

Better than the traditional 3rs hand tool but not made well
I've always been frustrated with the traditional 3rd hand tool. I needed something with a sturdier base and more flexibility. I was very happy with that. The build quality was very poor. 3 of the 4 arms were cross threaded and stripped. I don't even know if I'll get the arms back on. I'd give 5 stars if it weren't for that

Gimme A Hand
This is for all those little broken pieces that need to be glued or soldered back together. It work’s incredibly well and holds tightly.

What's Not to LOVE?!
I'm not sure what I like most about this! LOL The different light shades plus the intensity settings are really handy. But the multiple arms to hold things for me while I craft are pretty indispensable because of my carpal tunnel and neuropathy. Then again, the magnifying glass is something I can't live without these days due to my glaucoma. And the sturdy clamp that holds the whole contraption perfectly in place is the icing on the cake. I really love everything about this and should it ever need to be replaced, I will buy another just like it (if still available by that time! LOL)
