This is the cutest little lantern It looks very vintage and authentic. I love the dimmer knob, just like the old oil lanterns. It's not the brightest. You can't use it as a reading light, but works great as a navigation light.

Alright so I see AlOT of people complaining it’s too bright…There are options of warm and cold light…I feel the people who are disappointed got the cold light…I did get the warm and the dimming options are wonderful! I’m not sure what anyone truly expects for $20 tops with taxes and stuff but it by far exceeded my expectations for the price. It’s great quality…actually made of metal and glass. Gives it a real authentic feel. It’s truly charming for a dim lit accent or completely useful at the brightest setting to light up enough in case of a power outage. I will probably be buying another for that purpose and camping. Truly great value. Don’t listen to anyone who held expectations and couldn’t even read there were options. I’m surprised they figured out how to turn it on let alone leave a review.

This is a very nice outdoor patio lamp. The size is about standard for true lanterns, it is lightweight but has the heft needed to stay put on a table after you insert the two C Size batteries needed (not included). The light is fantastic...it's on a dimmer switch that rotates clockwise and counterclockwise to adjust the brightness from very dim to very bright light, great variance to set the lighting to precisely your liking. The paint on this is done well and is well coated evenly, not shoddy work whatsoever and looks almost like black lacquer (I bought the black one hence the color). I really liked the fact that the battery compartment is the "old school" battery cover, you just open, insert batteries and close, no screwdriver needed to remove those ridiculously tiny screws they use for battery covers nowadays! All in all, for the price this is even nicer than I hoped for and is a great addition to my patio when sitting out at night. I would buy another if needed or even give a couple as housewarming gifts or summer party hostess gifts!

The light that this produces is a little darker than I would like. I bought it for use in some photoshoots and ended up having to supplement the light with an additional brighter light, but the aesthetic is just what I was looking for!

Wonderful

Purchased one back in May, worked well and looked good on my book shelf. I purchased a second one a few weeks later & it arrived undamaged but I could not get it to work even tried 2 different sets of batteries. I ordered a third one with the intent of returning the second one. Third one arrived undamaged and also did not work. I even made the trip to the store to try new batteries. I do not know if it's a bulb issue or something else. I was going to return both lamps but decided I'm not paying $7.99 per box to have UPS pick them up and I am not going to take my time and effort to take them to a UPS store. Easier to throw them away and never purchase this product again. Very disappointing considering how much I liked the first one.

The lamp is very beautiful. Classic look with a modern twist 😉. Made of metal and the adjustable brightness is a plus. I recommend the warm color than the white.

It was a bit smaller than I thought but well made. It looked nice and my husband was happy with it.

WOW! We were very impressed with these cute lanterns and ordered a few more. Great lightweight design, very realistic looking. Quality of light and dimmability is excellent. 4 stars because they need 2 x C batteries which are expensive. Would be improved by using AA or AAA batteries instead.

I bought this for a project I am putting Yogyakarta soon, I was disappointed it didn’t come with batteries and scant information as to what type either but once bought and fitted its perfect for my use.
