Great manual to keep in your classroom
Darrell Morris is a great reading teacher and field researcher. I highly recommend anything he writes! He is a reading teacher at Appalachian State University in North Carolina. This is a great school and used to be a teacher’s college, just for teachers. Now, the university has a broad range of degrees and is surrounded by snow if you love to ski! This manual is a book you can keep and refer to when you have students with specific reading problems and it gives you ideas to try and specific steps to follow.

This book is a gem!
Morris offers the best on assessment and instruction of struggling readers in the early and high elementary grades informed by craft knowledge he's developed and learned from those before him over the years. A must-have for reading teachers, graduate students, and reading interventionists.
