DK Top 10 Madrid (Pocket Travel Guide)

On our recent trip to Spain, we made a lot of use of these DK Top 10 books. Beside just listing the standard tourist top 10 lists, these listed top tens and so many categories that suggested new ideas of things to explore and experience. Great basic background and helpful maps. Made our visits to Madrid and Barcelona even more enjoyable.

Glossy pages like their original guides, includes plastic pocket with map.

I like DK Eyewitness guidebooks. This book gives small bits of history, culture, and everything the larger book has, including a city map), combined with the highlights of Madrid. I’ll be on a tour so don’t need much but like to have a reference of my own to read in advance and for free time.

This book helped a lot with recent short visit.

Good overview of all the things to do in Madrid

Covers all the key sites in pocket size.

We were in Madrid for five days and this was the perfect companion. Easy to read and very well illustrated, we made sure we didn’t miss a thing.

Generally, the guidebook is what I expected but the clincher in purchasing it was that it was 2024 eddition i.e. bang up-to-date. However the 2024 label is fake advertising.At the back I found that it was originally published in 2003 with the latest copyright of 2023
