If always been under the impression that if you split an audio, wifi or video signal in any way for any reason it will degrade the signal. Sometimes significantly. My WiFi has always come into our home through our basement. Our router was there. When we "cut the cord" back in 2017 I figured out eventually that we needed the wifi to emminate from the center of the house. This gadget + a 50ft Cat 6 (now cat 8) ethernet cord and a super powerful router was easier and cheaper than paying our provider to reinstall our wifi to a different area more central to our home. I've tested the signal from the router with and without this gadget and the extra ethernet cable. NO DIFFERENCE AT ALL!!!!!! YES!!!!!!!
