What to say? It's the replacement trim for a cat flap. I do think it's a bit expensive for what it is.

Within 5 minutes of this replacement strip arriving, I had it fitted perfectly to the cat flap. Hopefully this will keep it draught proof again.Well done to Staywell for providing this replacement, otherwise I would have had to buy a whole new cat flap and the one that the cats have now is actually sealed into the wall cavity, so it would have been a huge job.

Perfect fit for the catflap, but it is quite a strong magnet so cats need to push harder.My cats are overly dramatic and instead of pushing the flap a bit harder, they broke the catflap, ripping off the front, losing the metal spring that keeps the flap in place, and now it no longer works.Guess that's cats for you, how dare I try and stop the draught.

Exactly what was required to repair my catflap after one of my cats shredded the magnetic rubber closure strip. Just clip it into place on the lugs of the plastic flap and slide it around to fit. Make sure you get it facing the right way around or the magnets in the strip and at the base of the door repulse each other and the flap will not close properly. Other sites have a 'spare part kit' for the door but that is more expensive and if you only need the rubber strip then getting a bunch of other parts that you don't want is a waste of money. This item fitted the bill perfectly.

Thanks to 1 of my little darlings scratching at the flap trying to open it when it was locked. The magnetic strip was ripped.I nearly bought the whole door with the strip. However taking the casing off the unit & fitting a door is fiddly. As only changing the strip on its own takes 2 minutes to swap over I decided on this.For what it is I do think it is way over priced.A whole new cat flap costs around £14 & the door & strip only a couple of £ more than the strip on its own.When fitting this if the door then doesn't shut with the magnet. Pop it back off, turn it around & fit the other way. Then it will work perfectly.A few reviews have said the magnet doesn't work. It didn't for me at first either, so don't worry it will once it's the correct way around .

This item looks identical to the original, which is about ten years old. It easily fits where the old one sat. Once you have removed the old one, the flap will move freely, check the strip before you fit it, if it doesn't attract properly, reverse it, and it will. [ for a temporary fix to a split strip, it can be be glued with strong cyanoacrylate super-glue ]

Had to buy a replacement magnet after trying to cut the old one in half so it wasn’t so hard for my cat to push open. Didn’t work, magnet kept falling off so ordered this replacement. Cat will have to get used to it or stay indoors unfortunately.

The magnetic strip fits but it gets repelled by the magnet in the cat flap. This means it ever close and bounces for a while when the car comes and goes. Got a new car flap and the problem was solved.
