Makes Any Meter Better
After two years, I've found few circuits that couldn't be easily, quickly and securely accessed with just the components in this set. The exception was larger contacts in old equipment, which were easily addressed by adding these: Fluke AC285 SureGrip Alligator Clips.Everything in this kit is useful and very well designed; there's no filler or junk, and it alone is sufficient for almost everything I use a meter for. The silicone leads seemed unnecessary for my non-extreme environment, but their flexibility makes an amazing difference in their ability to access and stay attached to difficult connection points. And, unlike PVC leads, they are not likely to stiffen with age.CONTENTS* Two 4-ft test leads, shrouded right-angle male banana connector to stainless steel test probe; rated 1000v 10A* Two 1-meter modular test leads, shrouded right-angle male banana connector to straight shrouded male banana connector, 10A* Two female-female banana test lead coupler (enables you to use the 1-meter modular leads to extend the 4-ft leads)* Two of each of the following slide-on adapters that fit the test probe on the 4-ft leads_insulated alligator clip, 5A_IC probe (thin), 3A_insulation-piercing probe_shroud; leaves only the tip of the probe exposed* Two of each of the following attachments that fit the straight male banana plug on the 1m modular leads:_test probe_insulated alligator clip, 5A_bare spade lug_claw clip with 26mm lead, 5A_hook clip with 26mm lead, 5A* A high-quality nylon roll-up case with four translucent vinyl pockets to organize, carry, and protect the set. The top pocket, which holds the relatively-small test probe adapters for the 4-ft leads, has a Velcro closure, as does the case flap. It is compact and sized for this set, with no room for additions.

Fluke TLK282 deluxe Automotive test lead kit
This fluke kit is a well constructed solid collection of test tips for automotive use purposes….Although, you’ll find this kit can be used for other applications ( I use it for testing non automotive electronic components and home applications)From leads extensions that can either attach to a DVM or a probe, alligator clip , test lead end or wire piercing ends ….Very versatile kitGood price too

So many good accessories worthy of the Fluke name
I'm an AutoTech installer for Geek Squad, so I use my DMM almost every day when I'm at work. This kit has been a boon for me.The piercing probes are easily the best thing about this kit. They let you test wires without having to hunt them down at the source and try to t-pin into them. And depending on the application they can be used to help with testing mocked up circuits. That being said, be aware they can only handle 60VDC at 5A. If you go any higher than that the needle in the probe will heat up and will melt the core, ruining the probe...ask me how I know. (I loved these probes so much I bought a second kit just to replace the probe I ruined). The wire leads are long, like really long. At around 5.3ft. They're a little too long for my liking so I use them as backup lead wires. But the rest of the accessories work with the shorter interchangeable lead wires I have been using on my DMM for a while. The alligator clips work VERY well, the teeth are very sharp and you can rest assured that when you clamp them properly to a surface, they're not going anywhere. I mostly use my meter to find horn wires, test polarities on ignition circuits and what not, and the two default tips I have on my meter are one of the piercing probes and one of the big alligator clips. And best of all it comes with it's own pouch with clear pockets. So you can easily take it on the go, or leave it unrolled in your tool box and see what's in each pocket without having to dig through it.If you work with electronics on a regular basis in the automotive industry, this kit WILL NOT let you down. It's 100% worth the extra money than some of the similar kits on Amazon. I've been very happy with this kit, I use it at some point every day I work. Just another reason to trust and love the Fluke brand. But again, just make sure you don't pump anything more than 5A through the probes or you will regret it!

Big Kit covers all my needs. But expensive
Expensive kit but covers all the bases. Fluke quality. If not using daily you could buy a much cheaper kit.

It’s worth every penny.
I’ve ruined multiple sets of probes because I didn’t have the features that this has at hooking onto wires clamping on wires or probing them. It’s worth every penny.

Great set with a variety of very useful connectors
I find Fluke multimeter probes to be far and away the best available. This set has a nice variety connectors and accessories that I find incredibly useful.Parts I find most useful:The TL71 test probes are my favorites, I keep a few sets at the bench to use with the various accessories in the kit.I like the shielded IC probes that slip over the ends of the TL71 probes. I keep those on a set of probes constantly. The two sets of modular clips (one has a J hook, one is more of a claw) are also very useful. I like the J hook type quite a bit and keep those connected to the TL224 modular cables. The bare lugs are good for use with binding posts.Parts I don't care for:The modular test probes. The TL71 probes are rated CAT IV 600 volts. The modular probes are only CAT II. I really don't use them. The modular alligator clips that fit on the end of a test probe, the total assembly is long and bulky. I like the other alligators better, that have a banana connector at the end. They make for a more compact assembly and don't put as much strain on the item you are testing.Even though there are some parts I don't use, I still rate the set 5 stars because others may find those parts to be useful. It really depends on their tasks and the way they work. Variety is good.
