Large print makes it easy to read in church dim light
Helps me follow mass easily. I still need the “UNIDOS EN CHRISTOS” for the readings and hyms or my “DOUAY RHEIMS” Bible in kindle to supplement the first and second readings during mass. The Holy Rosary is included and helps during reciting the Holy Rosary dedication.

Easy to read and large fonts size
This is a beautiful Book of Catholic Prayers. It is printed in very large font size. Perfect size to take anywhere with you, which makes it very accessible on demand. The quality is outstanding, even though not made out of leather. It is well made and should last a very long time with proper care. I love it. Get it you won’t be disappointed. God is good. Thank you .

I Agree With J's Headline...
As someone who is fairly new to today's Catholic Church (the last time I was in was when our response was to, "The Lord Be with You", was "And also with You!" This Catholic Book of Prayers has a nice refresher to the order of Mass, the Rosary, Confession (hint: you won't find the generic and movie line: Forgive me Father for I have sinned). My minor gripes: first, the book is printed in China. That is a shame but the book itself is beautiful. The pages are thick, the vinyl cover is a nice touch especially with the gold embossing, and the font, is HUGE! I wear glasses occasionally but WOW! I don't need them with this book. I especially like the illustrations and plates. The ribbon is gold and is about 2 1/2 inches longer than the book when used. The next issue is that the Contents have a grouping of prayers rather than each prayer spelled out. As an example, the Daily Morning prayers contain 5 prayers. What are they? Well, you'll have to thumb through pages 23-28 to find the one you want. The other book I have Catholic Prayers by Thomas A. Nelson has the Morning Prayers, all 8 of them listed. The last is the pronouns, they are all modern. I favor the archaic. As an Example, the grace from way back: "Bless us O Lord, and these thy gifts which we are about to receive from Thy bounty, through Christ Our Lord. Amen." Nice. The Catholic Book of Prayers rendition, "Bless us, O Lord and these Your gifts, which we are about to receive from Your bounty, through Christ Our Lord. Amen." It just doesn't seem to flow. I mean, it will do but it just doesn't sound as reverent.Overall, this is a wonderful little book for new, old, future, and lapsed Catholics- as well as all our Brothers and Sisters in all religions! It is a great reference of what the Catholic Church Faith is for those who aren't Catholics, you can get a feel for what we believe and compare and contrast your wonderful beliefs. In the end, we all believe in One God.

The Leather Edition of the Catholic Book of Prayers
People are always complaining to me that their copy of Fitzgerald's Catholic Book of Prayers is a crummy vinyl or a peeling imitation leather that they've had for too many years. I can't blame them, as I used to be one of those people with an imitation leather copy. Many people wish it was available in leather, like their Bible, and somehow haven't noticed that it has been, for a couple of decades now. It really isn't any fun getting old and realizing you missed out on an important piece of new information or a new edition of a beloved book is one of the reasons. But, for once, I'm not the silly one who didn't notice and, so, can say that I find this entire situation hilarious, as the bonded leather edition has been available for so many years and I keep having to direct people to this listing. And so, realizing that reviews show up on internet searches, for anyone who is looking for leather and using the keyword search feature to locate reviews for a leather edition, the link at the top of this review is for the leather bound version, ISBN-13: 978-0899429113 , also searchable as ISBN9780899429113 . This is the version that was published in 1999 and is the correct version for the standard leather edition. It comes in a pleasing burgundy leather, more of a standard reddish-brown than the more purple burgundy we usually see these days, at least to my eyes, so it seems a suitable color for men or women. The interior, pages are the same as the other editions. This edition has lovely gilded edges and a nice, sun-yellow colored satin ribbon, as a page marker. The binding is sewn, not merely glued, which means this will be more durable, very much like a nice leather Bible, and because it is so small and thin (6 5/8 by 4 1/2 by just over 1/2 inch) and because it has large print, it is suitable for carrying in a purse or briefcase for daily use and absolutely suitable for travel.Good luck finding the prayer book that will work for your needs. I hope this helps.

Pleased with purchase.
My photo is my previous, over 20+ yrs. Old Prayerbook, (right), and my new copy (left). It’s soft leather, gold trim, my husband immediately noticed the giant print. Still has the beautiful artwork! And the icing on the cake: all the beautiful Catholic prayers, litanies, short prayers. Order of the Mass, Confession prayers, and so on.
