I mostly like the design of this quick release mount. The bottom portion is arca compatible, so you can use it with any arca clamp. The quick release button is nice and easy to use, but without a way to lock it, you can hit it on accident and release the top plate. The other complaint is that, presumably to accommodate the V-shape design of the quick release portion, the screw that holds the plate in place doesn't have a ring to tighten by hand. This requires you to carry around either the hex bit it came with or a small screwdriver if you want to remove the plate. Not a big deal if you want to keep the plate attached, but for my purposes I typically remove the plate so this is an annoyance.

This is a nicely made camera accessory. The fit and finish on it has a real quality feel to it. Between the 1/4" and 3/8" threads, the Arca style base, and the V-lock quick release, this adapter can be used in a variety of different ways.The V-lock QR uses standard dimensions, so this would be able to be used with a clamp on a light stand to hold a V-mount battery to power lighting. Likewise, the top plate can be used to adapt anything with a 1/4" thread to a V-lock system.The bottom plate could have been designed a bit better in my opinion. The Arca style mount does fit my Arca clamps, however, this adapter does not include safety pins and has no way to add them. That means if the clamp comes loose, you could drop whatever you have attached to this. Additionally, The two 1/4" holes in the bottom plate are recessed to fit a cap screw from the top side, but since the through holes are threaded, I'm not sure what the point of that is. The spacing of the 1/4" holes (~7/8") are also such that you can't really use the two holes to mount this on a camera cage (at least not on any of the cheese plates I have). So unless you have a slotted hole available, you are stuck with using a single connection point.While I like the quality and versatility of this adapter, I do wish the bottom plate would have been better thought out.

I got this since I recently got some different mounts and such for cameras and mics. It's a very solid piece, metal and a bit weighty with a smooth release function. However, I ran into two issues.One, a small defect in the one I received. The rubber around the top mount was not placed correctly, so the part that extends outside the inset area is wearing away in small pieces. Annoying.Another is that if you have longer 1/4 mount screwed into the bottom, it seems to extend too far into this quick release plate and the quick release doesn't work. Unfortunately, the main item I intended to use it with has this issue.So because of these issues, I needed to remove one star.

I use this camera mount adapter on my tripod, and it offers the convenience of quick release functionality and provides some clearance for the camera. However, one major concern is that if you accidentally bump the quick release button, your camera could fall off the plate and potentially get damaged.Additionally, when the camera is mounted on the plate, there is a slight wiggle, which may impact stability during use. While it has its advantages, these issues should be taken into consideration for the safety and stability of your camera equipment.

This works well and is made well. But it was smaller than I expected for my tripod. Measure before you buy.

Use this on our camera. It holds it and makes it quicker to take off, but it makes it a bit wobbly. Could be the weight of our camera, but still worries me.

I use this to quickly disassemble my streaming camera rig when I need to put it away, and it's great for that. In a single motion I just depress the red tab on the side and the camera slides off. It's instantaneous.More importantly, it's very solid. I don't feel like I'm going to break anything when I'm using it. I also don't have to think about it moving or if it's going to need adjustment. Since it's so easy to use, and doesn't require any force to mount or dismount, the rig stays exactly where I want it every time.The ease of use and peace of mind alone are worth it, I can definitely say this would be a justified addition to any setup that needs to be disassembled and reassembled often.
