18" STILSONS/Pipe Wrench

There are some jobs where this is the only tool that can be used! Essential in any workshop.

I bought this for a specific job and it passed the test with ease. Strongly built with the ability to change the bottom jaw when it wears. The handle has a nice rubber coating for easier grip. It will be getting a lot of use in the years to come.Great value for a great product.

Cheap well made and does the job for the handyman

It worked well to remove a gas cylinder from an office chair. No other tool that I owned could remove it but this one got it out in less than 20 seconds. Lovely.

A previous reviewer had said that this tool enabled them to replace a broken gas lift on an office chair.We too had a broken gas lift on an office chair which we had been unable to budge using other methods. We were resigned to having to abandon the idea of replacing the gas lift altogether and buying a new chair instead. We saw this this pipe wrench and ordered it as a last resort, to see if it would enable us to repair our chair (most pipe wrenches available elsewhere cost a lot more and we had to weigh up the overall cost of the repair versus putting the money towards a replacement chair). Admittedly it required some force but this pipe wrench did the trick and dislodged the old gas lift from its fixing. Installing the new gas lift took a couple of minutes and the chair is now as good as new. For our purposes, this was money very well spent even if we only ever use it to replace broken gas lifts. It is a heavy item and appears well made. Very happy with the purchase.
