As ever, OPRO are the go-to for gumshields. I’ve used them for probably 15yrs now ever since I lost one I had one fitted by a dentist and have never looked back. It might be that the technology has gotten better for home-fitting in that time (I’m talking a while back for the dentist fit) but I’ve only had to replace my OPRO twice in that time and they’ve both been excellent and long-lasting. The reason I had opted for a dental fit the first time was being born with a cleft palate and having a couple of out-of-line teeth, but the OPRO has accommodated them fine.Main sport was field hockey for the longest while but boxing the last nine years. Brilliant for both (especially being able to speak and actually be heard in hockey). This is my first gold version as a step-up from silver and on first experience is worth the upgrade - closer fit and feel and slightly easier breathing.Worth mentioning that at 5’9” and 67kg fighting weight (and a slightly small head), I fit the youth size perfectly. I know it states “up to 10yrs” but I wouldn’t say I’m tiny, so worth bearing in mind size-wise.

My daughter was pleased with the results of moulding this guard to her teeth. Finally after 4 years of using them we are now expert. Experience aside these do feel as if they are better at moulding than they used to be. 20 seconds in boiling water. 10 seconds cool down, 60 seconds in the mouth (it is hot but not quite burning) and 15 minutes in the fridge. Register online for the warranty you really hope you won't want to claim on. Really much cheaper than paying £80 for a fitting service to go through the same process. Daughter said they were a snug fit and didn't drop when she opened her mouth. Perhaps I was super accurate with the timings this time round :)

Okay this is a decent looking and well fitting comfortable mouth guard, my son has no issues with this playing rugby. However the process of moulding it involves putting it in boiling water and then into their mouth after only 10 seconds!!!! So its far too hot and when its cool enough you can't mould it against the teeth properly.

Always buy Opro Gold for my son's mouthguard. Used for rugby, american football and karate. Can be bit fiddly to mould but they last well and are a good fit and feel comfortable.

Daughter has braces and this was recommended by the orthodontist. It was easy to use and mould to the teeth. She has already re-moulded since due to movement with her braces and it has been absolutely fine. It is good quality and worth the money.

Bought for my 8 year old staring rugby. He has a significant overbite, spread out and varied teeth. We had tried a cheaper option, but it didn't mould to fit properly. This did the trick first time. Easy to talk in as well and comfortable to wear. Very impressed.

Started boxing classes and needed a quality gum shield that didn’t break the bank. This was really easy to work with and they give you a nifty device to help get it to mold to your teeth. Was really simple to use and actually does protect your teeth. You can also breath with it on which unlike others is nice!

Simple straightforward procedure. The impression tray makes it easy to adapt to teeth. Reasonable price. Worth it!

My 7 year old son is getting ready for his first sanctioned boxing match and this mouthpiece is perfect! He has used other brands for football and Jiu jitsu but this one is by far his go-to- and the one he says is the most comfortable and easy to breathe with.He LOVES that it's black and gold, and matches his competition uniform for his first upcoming bout. 🥇💛

Did everything exactly as described. Fit fine that day, but when I tried to put it in the next day it had lost all shape and kept falling out.
