8 Sets Garden Hose Quick Connector, 3/4 Inch Plastic Water Hose Fittings Male and Female Connectors Hose Adapters

I have these in my chicken runs. We have been using these for several months through the thick of the Georgia heat and have not had a single failure.These are water STOP connectors. Can't remember what the actual term is but they stop the flow when you disconnect them. IMPORTANT NOTE: Make sure to turn off the hose and open whatever you are connecting when you connect them, because there is water pressure pushing on the water stop and you have to overcome this pressure when you connect it.AMAZON REQUESTED TAGS (all are applicable to this product): ease of use (check), Appearance (check, i guess), speed (check, we no longer live like sloths).

The product works very well as a quick disconnect fitting for a hose and doesn't leak. A good value for the price. However, when I tried to use it with the Morvat Heavy Duty Brass 2 way Y Splitter Garden Hose Hexagonal Connector (B01N9QQCJP), I had a serious problem. The Morvat splitter has very little distance between its ball valve and male Y connector end in each branch of the Y splitter. When you screw the female Liulo fitting onto this end, the internal plastic piece (white object within female connector in product picture) butts up against the Morvat ball valve and blocks water flow when the Liulo male connector is pushed into the other end of the Liulo female connector. If you screw the Liulo female connector all the way onto the Morvat Y male connector end, the pressure of the ball valve on the Liulo plastic piece may actually eject the Liulo male plug out of the other end of the Liulo female connector, breaking your water flow pathway. I got the assemblage to work by wrapping the Morvat splitter with three or more turns of the supplied sealing tape and only screwing on the Liulo female connector enough so the coupling didn't leak (much) but the water still flowed because the Liulo internal part wasn't pressed tightly up against the Morvat ball valve in each branch of the top of the Y (I'm attempting to split my hose connection to supply two drip irrigation lines with one hose). One or both manufacturers need to modify their product designs. The Liulo plastic part projecting into the internal space of its female hose connector end when its male counterpart is plugged into the other end is not very clever. Same with Morvat placing its ball valve so close to its male connector end at the top of each Y. I will be looking for different products to replace each part although each is a fine product by itself and I will continue to use them separately.

Good price. Easy to use. I do have to be careful not to pull too hard. They come loose.

Missed the return window but hopefully I will find a use for them in the future. Trying to avoid mixed metals between connection and hose.

Great product, plastic works much better than similar so called "brass" product.

These are com patible with melnor quick connects.These units have a blocking function when the two pie3ces are disconnected. Great for hose en d. May not be what you want at the faucet when a freeze hits w/ the hose disconnected.These are stiff to connect. You need to push hard to get a solid connection . If a solid connection is not made water will not flow due to blocking fuction and it will easily fall off. Suggest connect and then pull to assure a strong connection.

Good product at good price. 8 connectors. I don’t see the need for metal, which is more expensive. The male to female connection is solid. No leaks at all. Better than the other brands I’ve bought at Home Depot over the years.

I have used plastic house couplings for years. They make connecting and disconnecting hose attachments very easy versus having to unscrew sprinklers or faucets. They do wear out over time which is why I ordered this package. These couplings have a flow preventer on the female connector which makes disconnecting a sprinkler with the water on easy rather than going to the faucet to turn off and then turn on again.
