I especially like it because the seeds are small and of good quality. The latest packets have contained some sunflowers in their husks which I remove as they could choke fledglings. Also it doesn't contain wheat and all gets eaten. My one issue with it is the fruit which are often dehydrated and large pieces. I may have been dissuaded from buying an excellent product.I have tried a few different varieties of seed mix, but this one is by far proved most successful in our garden. In tandem with the nuts we put out, this seed mix attracts quite a variety of bird life here in our South-East London garden. Among our daily visitors, the parakeets, a pair of greater spotted woodpeckers, blue tits, great tits and long-tailed tits have always gone for the peanuts, whereas the coal tits (and sometimes the other tit species), a clutch of sparrows, the odd wren (I think), and a pair of goldfinches head straight for these seeds.Yes, there are raisins and such included but not that much, and I think it's a nice touch - the odd bits of fruit that get discarded are mopped up by the blackbirds and robins that also visit daily, and any small seeds are eagerly gobbled up by a pair of (proper) wood pigeons and a quartet of collared doves.So much goes on in our garden, that the feral scruffy rats-with-wings London pigeons which used to plague us hardly get a look-in nowadays.
