Q: The ankle strap looks very loose in the reviews with pictures. Does it tighten enough for a fairly skinny ankle?

I don’t think this sandal is loose. My feet were pretty tight in them.

It would depend on your toe length--my size 7 sandles have 2" from where the strap goes between the toes to the end of the sole. That allows a comfortable fit with no toe hangover. I agree that cab be uncomfortable! Will you need an extra 1/2"? Not sure!

Q: I am a men size 10 what size be best for me?

I'm a size 10 in mens. I ordered size 11 and recieved size 10 instead. I will say my back ankle hangs off slightly but they've been super comfy to to wear. If you order a size 11 you should have no problem wearing them comfortably.
