Oldschool dance/dub/house Ministry
A collection of some of Al Jourgensens oldschool early 80s 12" singles of house/dance style tracks. The ever classic Everyday is Halloween & it's re-make of it,clocking in at close to 11 minutes. The redone version has deeper beats to it & just more bass heavy thumping. All Day & All Day dub version are both awesome, with alotta different samples at the intro & again, heavier bass. Those being my favorite tracks on the disc, also this includes Cold Life & Cold Life dub are 2 more sweet, oldschool dance tracks also nice and bass thick. The Nature of Love & Nature of Love (Cruelty Mix) is more of that oldschool dance style track. There is a 2 disc version of this with more expanded artwork, and a bonus track on disc 1 & 9 more on the 2nd disc. However, this is the standard 1 disc album with 4 songs & the same 4 songs remixed, total of 8 tracks at about an hour. This is a great cd for people who like dance music & are new to Ministry,or know the Ministry name & don't know of the oldschool, more tame & more dance-ish style than the future style industrial metal Ministry of the late 80s & 90s. The 2000s have a more advanced thrash style. Regardless what era Ministry always has solid albums & if you are an oldschool fan you'll know this is a cd worth owning. All Day & Everyday is Halloween being my favorite tracks. I can spin this right next to Filth Pig,Psalm 69 & Mind & Rio Grande Blood and still bang my head to it. Get it.

blast from the past
Anyone Who Loved the new wave, punk clubs of the early 80's (Todd's and city club,in detoit)has to love The original Ministry. The measurement of a good Alternative dance track is how long it takes your beer to vibrate off the table. Ministry the singles has vibrated many beers in my time, I'm just glad I was able to grab them all without spilling a drop. With that being said if you do not have a systym that will be able to play any of these Ministry classics with a similar vibration you will miss the true feeling. If you do, turn up the bass and enjoy.

80s Synth/Techno Pop
If you were to hand Alain Jourgenson a copy of this CD he would probably break it. Even with the 80s syntho cheese factor the music is good and fun but, not as good as when Mr. J got really pissed off. These are classic 80s tracks and definitely a must for any diehard 80s fan. Everyday Is Halloween is such a classic.

I love the songs on this CD
I had to replace this CD as I loaned my other to a friend and never got it back. I love the songs on this CD, especially compared with the more hardcore stuff Ministry put out later. I do own "The Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste," but I prefer this CD much more.

Cold.... Life!
If like me you have a particular soft spot for Uncle Al's dirty little secret that is pre-LORAH Ministry this is a great place to start. While it is just 4 new tracks the remixes are all pretty good, imo anyways and i quite enjoy them. If all you really know/care about is Psalm 69-present Ministry well... there's not much here for you honestly. Overall though i would rate this as a great addition to your Ministry collection but far from essential or a good place to start if your not already into them.

Cool Oddity to Own
This is just a remix of 4 early Ministry songs and not a full album so don't expect too much. If you don't know this, industrial metal pioneers Ministry started out making wussed out new wave synth pop complete with fake Brit accents. Looking back, this has to be the most dramatic transformation any band has gone through in history - if Celine Dion came out with hardcore gansta rap it would be less of a switch. On to the content... "Everyday Is Halloween" is an underground dance classic that appealed to outcasts everywhere. It specifically reached out to dressed-up Goths with its mock derision "To me everyday is Halloween, oh you look so absurd, you look so obscene". This is the reason to get this single. "All Day" is also nice. We could live without "Cold Life".For Ministry historians it's a must. For synth new wave fans, you need it just for "Halloween". For fans of their metal sound who have never heard this, beware - though it is fun to have as a comical artifact. If you like this then you need to get the full disc 'With Sympathy' that has sveeral other very good dance tracks. I actually prefer "Revenge" to any others from this period of theirs. "Say You're Sorry" and "I Wanted to Tell Her" are solid too.
