JQuad Truck Cap Topper Mounting Clamp (4 Pack)

I purchased a used topper for my Ford F-150 and I used these to hold the topper in place on the bed railsVery easy to use and work well

I used 6 of these to hold a new truck bed to the top of my existing bed. They worked great. I traveled 1250 miles like this with zero loosening, etc. Nice clamps!

I bought these to keep my new sports rack on truck since the ones that came with it immediately loosened. I'm clamping something that doesn't have a flat surface like a camper shell would and they worked, not loosening for a long trip up and down coast of California with a load on top. I also bought them because I wanted the screw-in part to be as long as possible so friction would help keep from backing out. The receiving threads do not go all the way through but are much longer than the open style clamps. Am interested to see how well they stay tight on a dirt road. The manufacturer recommends blue lock tight which I would probably have handy if I leave pavement for long.

I was hoping this clamp would be threaded all the way through for extra strength on the aluminum threads, but to clarify for anyone else wondering the same thing, it is not. Thread length is 0.91”, which is still very respectable and provides much more thread engagement than standard. See attached picture showing the unthreaded bottom portion.The threads are well machined and tighten smoothly. I used 6 of these to install my contractor style topper with build-in ladder rack on a shortbed. 6 clamps instead of 4 on the shortbed provide more clamping force, but more importantly, a more even clamping force on the topper. This design works much better than the pivot design I used before. I will slowly convert my fleet over to these clamps. Excellent product for a good price.

These clamps have been working great for me! They've been very sturdy and reliable for the last 5,000 miles with an 8ft bed cap. I highly recommend applying some blue Loctite to the threads when you first install it, as I've found that 3 had vibrated loose after about 2,000 miles but there were no issues with the bed cap security. There should be no issues at all if you use some light-strength thread locker.

06 f250. If the C-clamp was 1/4 inch wider/ deeper on its internal dimensions it would have been easier to install. Had to notch the internal fiberglass canopy where it meets the bed rail a 1/8 inch on both sides.

Bought these to replace a set I gave away by accident. They work well. Use anti seize to make the operation smoother and prevent the threads from spalling.

I’m always hesitant about buying things like this on Amazon because I can’t see or feel the quality of them first. These clamps are first rate, very stout and sturdy. Quality piece that has full length threading for the bolts to tighten down into the body of the clamp instead of most junk clamps that thread into maybe 3/8” of the lower edge. Bottom line, no need to hesitate on the purchase of these, I’m really picky about parts and these are great.

They are smaller in width than I had been anticipating but seem to be okay.
