did not work, tried charging phone while overseas and it overheated the plug to the touch and the smell of wires burning. Asked several people about the settings and they all confirmed that I had it set properly. Did not try using anymore, did not want to burn up my phone, Unfortunately, I arrived back too late to return it as defective.

This converter though it is bulky it isn't heavy and transports easily, charges your US devices in Europe. The only concerns were a slight sizzling sound at initial socket insertion but it performed well for 5 weeks so it has alteady paid for itself.

I have had a few power outages, and since I need WiFi for my job, it is always working. I also have my home security camera hooked up to it. It also has surge protection for good measure. I highly recommend getting this.

This adapter is nice and compact. Allows me to convert the voltage for my hair dryer with ease.it was easy to adapt to the outlet. I would recommend it. Very great product and East to use.

Tried to use it, and noticed it was broken. Attempted to fix it, and plugged it into the wall, and my hairdryer didn't even turn on!!!! Waste of money! Since I was traveling overseas, I missed the return window... so disappointed and annoyed. Save your money.UPDATE:Seller reached out to me, and offered me a full refund even though the return window had closed. I appreciate the great customer service, and for that I had updated my rating from 1 star to 3 star. Thank you!

This product doesn't work. We took it to Europe, and after using it, the Dyson hair dryer immediately burned out when we plugged it into power via this device. The Dyson hair dryer cost us $800, and we would like to know who will compensate us for our loss.The hair dryer has a power rating of 1200W, and the instructions for this converter stated that it could support devices with a maximum power of 2000W. However, it clearly failed to do so. We strongly advise against purchasing this converter.

Be sure to put in Converter Mode before using for a hairdryer or straightener! It works great for them in Converter mode Adapter mode is good for dual voltage chargers as it passes through higher European voltage. Fortunately, my hairdryer survived on low in the Adapter mode for a minute or two, whichnI blame on jetlag. A built-in circuit breaker opened and closed a couple times, with a little spark. 🤔

We are trying to use a hair dryer we bought in Japan now that we have been posted to Singapore. The converter barely allows the equipment to power up and as an adaptor is just plain useless.Problems when relocating, for all the computers we had to get local plugs...
