Are you supposed to use two black gaskets for installation? if i only use the one, the connection leaks. with two, i can't get it installed

My experience is to use one black gasket/"O" ring with the aerator. I used the gasket that match the one on the original aerator that I replaced -- typically the thicker one. Then I tightened the aerator until there was no leaking.

Does this aerator have super fine flow (thin lines of water spray) or does it come out whole like on a kitchen sink?

This aerator has what is called a "needle" spray so, it is a finer flow than our other option which is a "bubble" spray. The bubble spray is configured to flow with more air output and the needle spray is not. This makes the needle spray more precise in flow. Hope this helps. Thank you.

Is a 1.0 GPM enough for a utility sink faucet?

It depends on what you use the utility sink for. This faucet aerator will allow 1 gallon of water to flow per minute.
