Needed something to protect the door frame from getting dinged. Installed this on each side of frame only needed to strip off two rows to hold strong. Just what I needed

I used this on a flat garage wall to replace an area I previously had rigid foam insulation in place to protect the car door from hitting the wall. The insulation was getting beat up and was pink… this product was easy to install and looks great. No visible signs of wear after a few dozen impacts with the car door. I expect this to work great as long as it stays put. The adhesive was very strong. But if it comes off I’ll just use construction adhesive like I did with the old rigid insulation.

These garage wall protectors are invaluable. They help protect you wall from dings, and also your car! My kids have a tendency to accidentally slam my car's doors into the garage walls when opening them, and these have made it so that's never a concern. They are thick and sturdy and slamming a car door into them just creates a soft landing that's awesome for my peace of mind. I've stopped worrying about it and these have helped keep both my garage walls and car doors pristine.

These wall protectors have worked great! Two really cool features that I didn't know I needed are:1. These guards have straight line cuts through them, meant to be used when applying them to curved surfaces, like a pole. They may work really well for that, but the cuts also work really well to cut the padding down to the appropriate size. I used a box cutter and cut from behind (the adhesive side) following a factory line in order to make nice straight cuts.2. The face of the foam is actually shiny, like a film barrier. It's not a soft foam face. At first I thought this was a negative, but when a car door edge impacts the foam, the foam wants to expand around the point impact, which means the soft foam can snag on the door edge. I believe this could lead to rips/tears in the foam. The shiny face on this foam however may alleviate that, as it's smooth and doesn't grip the sharp edge of the car door! I think this is a genius addition, and am hopeful these will last longer due to it.Otherwise these stick well, and I'm confident the foam is soft yet dense enough to protect against most typical car door impacts! I'm very happy with them!
