The Marmot jacket I've worn in the past five winters was threadbare, so I ordered this one. I loved it from right out of the plastic bag. Warm and comfortable. Perfect.

Super nice fleece. This jacket fits great. It's true to size. It feels amazing to wear. The quality of the materials and the stitching is really good. I love everything about it! Marmot brand makes some of my favorite gear. This is no exception. I'd highly recommend it for yourself or it would make a great gift as well.

The material is super soft to the touch. Lightweight and can wear over a t-shirt or layer. The fit is on the slim fit side. Marmot fleeces and jackets haven't disappointed me.

A lot of fleece jackets, sweaters, and hoodies will either be fleece lined (cozy on the inside) or fleece outside (soft on the outside). Even those that have both feel like they're stitched differently on either side. Not this one! Other than the pockets and the zippers, every part of this feels like the same, even, super-soft fleece.And it's a nice fleece, one that seems to aim for being as soft as possible. I find it fits slightly on the snug side, but not overly so, other than around the neck (which I'll go over in a moment). In terms of warmth, it feels middle-weight for cool days, but also is thin enough that I think it would work well layered under a heavier coat. In fact, given that it is a bit snug, that might be my main use for it. Style-wise, it's simple, with a nice understated logo that doesn't make you feel like a walking advertisement.But it's not perfect. I found the collar difficult to work with, and I would have to say that's the biggest flaw with the jacket. I've attached a couple pictures to show how I tried to wear it. The model in the product image seems to suggest that it's best worn with the collar up, but I found it's way too tall and seems much tighter than the image suggests. I had the most success keeping the zipper down lower and letting the collar fold outward (it snaps up if zipped to a certain point), but this looks a bit sloppy. Fully zipping it up and wearing it like a turtle neck seemed like the cleanest looking option, but it's so tall and tight that squeezes my throat and presses up under my chin. Again, looking at the model, it feels like I'm wearing a different shirt. I don't think I have a larger than average neck for my size, but perhaps it's made withThe big problem that keeps me from giving this 4 or 5 stars is the cost. Though I tend to not let cost figure too much into a review, Marmot seems to be a fairly premium clothing company, with fairly high prices. There's nothing wrong with that, but nothing about this sweater feels THAT premium. At the time of writing, it's listed for $80 USD, which is well over double the cost of sweaters that I find more comfortable and stylish. When you add the issues with the collar, it seems simply not worth the premium.That's not to say it's bad or that it doesn't feel like good quality. It's still a very soft and very comfortable sweater. I also think I might have liked it more in some of the other listed colors (only navy was available when I ordered it). So, if you're particularly fond of a good ultra soft fleece, I could tentatively recommend this, but it definitely has some room for improvement.

The jacket is what I expected. However, one of the zipper pulls is missing from the right pocket.

Very nice form fitting jacket by Marmot. Nice and simple the way I like it with a touch of modern fabrics. Very comfortable with average to small in size. Colors are clean and deep on 100% polyester material. The base and cuffs are lined with thin elastic that’s very comfortable but not bad looking at all. The zippers are very smooth with pull tabs and paracord which are also on each pocket. Highly recommend this jacket by a company I personally like a lot.
