These are amazing! (When they pair—tips below)
Love the tactile design of these. Plus they are matter and thread.Having a physical button makes it easier to1) allow guests to control lights or general smart home2) program scenes (Eg multiple lights or controls) in convenient places when I don't want to speak out loud or use my phone (Eg night while others sleep)— PROS —- love this clean design. Feels nice in hand, the recessed button is nice to find in the dark. Red led lights up when click button so have visual feedback. Magnetic back feels weighty and satisfying when clips in.- Super satisfying click feel. Really satisfying physical feedback click when you press the button.- Included stickers make easy to understand for non smart home guests- 3 modes to program: single, double, long press. Easy to setup. Works great.- Thread is smooth and fast. All local control. No cloud sharing your info. Button has not problem and seems stable.- Company is very to troubleshooting (contacted via website).— CONS —- Matter, for all it's promise, is in growing pangs. This is expected and it shows with this button.- Make sure you have the recommended border routers needed for this button- No clear troubleshooting instructions yet on restarting or getting to pair (but see below for tips!). But company promises to release instruction and troubleshooting videos soon.- Such painful pairing is probably going to put less technical people off, but given my experience if you contact the company with issues you will be pleasantly surprised. Also I have written some tips below- Caveats: I do not believe they currently work within Amazon Alexa and Google because of limitations with those platforms on generic buttons (but presume they will in future). For me, I got these with the future proofing as matter matures.— My experience —My setup: several matter + thread devices, including eve energy, onvis plug, aqara thread sensor, Apple TV (Ethernet+thread)I initially bought 2 TUO buttons. The first paired flawlessly on the first try to apple HomeKit. It was easy to setup the different single, double, long presses. Super happy. The second caused me SO. MUCH. GRIEF. I tried restarting phone, restarting Apple TV (Ethernet+thread), resetting the button, adding multiple times. Nothing seemed to work. Furthermore, the red light on the button no longer worked. Contacted amazon and they immediately sent out a replacement. I thought my 2nd button was a dud (it happens) so excited when 3rd button arrived. Same issue--couldn't pair. Tried seemingly everything. Only thing different was that this time red LED still came on when click button, even when couldn't pair.So I contacted the company (TUO) for support via their website and got immediate real-time support. Spoke with founder by phone. We went through a couple steps and voila! BOTH "broken" buttons paired.Turns out the 2nd button had a bad battery (no light on click => probably dead battery.) I replaced the battery and it worked. This is not ideal, to ship with dead battery. Normally I would dock a star, but I love the design and use (once paired) of the button so much more than anything available I kept at 5 star. We were also able to fix the 3rd button.— TIPS for pairing —Until the company puts out it's own troubleshooting documents, here are my notes for anyone having pairing issue (pairing in Home app for HomeKit):- make sure if you click the button, the red led light comes on. If no light comes on, try replacing the battery.- if you click the button, you want it to have 2 (or maybe 3, have to wait for official troubleshoot documents) red flashes when you click the button. My understanding is that this means it's in pairing mode. If you only see 1 flash and the button is not paired, there probably was an error pairing or some issue. Reset the button- to reset the button: you need to take off the back matter code cover. Use a paper clip or equivalent and press the reset button for 10 seconds. You are looking for the red led light to start flashing, and then stop flashing. Then you can release the reset button. Check to see if have 2or 3 flashes when click button, per above- once in pairing mode (2 or 3 flashes), pair in Home app. Here, pairing via the matter QR code would fail for me. Instead, I had to do it via Add Accessory > "More options...". From here, I clicked one of the accessories for the TUO button offered (I had two for some reason. Advised to click the one furthest to the left). On the next screen I typed in matter code manually. Then wait and finish!I really want this company to succeed because we need more matter and thread devices that are well designed so rooting for them. Hopefully they work out their troubleshooting articles and the matter kinks get worked out.Otherwise, once paired these buttons are a delight and highly recommend.

Great Smart Button; excellent customer support!
I have a SmartThings hub and a number of SmartThings Buttons to control LIFX lights in my home. The buttons have been working great for several years now. However, they do not have backplates for mounting, and so when secured with double sided tape, can’t also be used as portable buttons. They do have a nice solid magnet, but without a backplate they tend to slide around on a metal surface quite easily. So…I thought I’d try the TUO Smart Button. The TUO button was very easy to set up and configure in the SmartThings app; no issues at all. However, after pressing the button, no matter single press, double press, or hold, it took between 35-55 seconds for my associated commands to be executed and completed. Obviously, not at all acceptable. So I went to the findtuo website and sent an email explaining the issue. In less than an hour I received a reply from Sam, president of TUO Accessories, stating that there was a fix, and asking if we could get on a call and walk through the update. Within 25 minutes we had the update installed and everything working perfectly. (TUO is in the process of creating an app that will allow users to install updates without assistance). My only (minor) complaints are that it is a bit sketchy to remove the back of the button in order to change the battery (or to reset); and also, when double clicking, the timing between clicks needs to be fairly quick, otherwise it is interpreted as two single clicks. Again, minor issues.Overall, I am very satisfied with the TUO Smart Button and the excellent support!See photo: The smart button backplate is secured to the faceplate of my wall switch with double sided tape. (I used my own tape, not what was supplied, because I needed some extra thickness to circumvent the faceplate screw). This positioning of the smart button blocks the toggle switch from accidentally being used, but still allows cycling power if a light bulb soft reset becomes necessary.

Like others have reported - these go offline and won't come back - Doesn't work with HomeKit
I bought two of these to work with an Apple HomeKit installation. It was a pain getting the first one working. I had to remove the battery and reset the device to finally get it to pair. I set up the one and two click feature to turn a light on and off. It worked for a couple hours and now won't respond at all. Second one was easier to get configured, but has done the same thing. Both are going back.
