Crescent 12" Self-Adjusting Dual Material Pipe Wrench - CPW12

This is the absolute GOAT pipe wrench. If you can't make this thing bite then you are doing it wrong. I have four different kinds of pipe wrench and this one is by far the easiest to work with and adjust. I am literally standing on a 50 year old section of black pipe trying to release a tee with my full weight, and my screw style "heavy duty" wrench is being an absolute pain in the ass, while this thing is rock solid and grabbing the pipe with no drama at all. No comparison. I also love how it has the angled top piece to grab and ratchet on fittings. I am buying a second one and donating all of my other wrenches to underprivileged tech school flunkies.

This wrench is really easy to use, even for someone who is all thumbs like me. I have a garden hose that is stuck to my hose-bibb. I tried all the wrenches I own but couldn't get the hose to budge. I finally decided to buy this wrench to see if it would work. This is the only wrench that actually gripped the garden hose without slipping. Unfortunately, the hose is still stuck because the hose-bibb attached to the water pipe turns more easily than the garden hose. I even had my boyfriend hold the hose-bibb in place with a different wrench while I tried to turn the garden hose. It just is NOT going to come off. I'm quite sure that if the hose-bibb/water pipe connection were tighter, the wrench would have have gotten the hose off. But, at this point I'm guessing there is either mineral build up or rust inside the hose connection which is preventing the joint from turning. In any case, I don't blame this wrench, and in fact, I'm looking forward to all the other things I can do with this around my house. I would buy this again.

Awesome product. Very handy.

The tool was bigger & bulkier than I assumed it would be. Very difficult to get between say a faucet hex nut, the wall, & undermount kitchen sink or bathroom sink. Now if you can manage to get the tool around the bolt the ratchet action works pretty good. Then of course the release function is a little difficult in tight spaces. If there is a smaller tool then having both would be awesome. But the tool does work so dont take this review as a negative. Gave it 4 stars.

Works as advertised!

I really have high expectations on this tool, now it just sits in my tool box. I'd rather stick with rigid pipe wrenches

Fast delivery as usual ! That"s a pipe wrench, heavy duty , great grip ergonomic handle, jaw like a Great White Shark Don<t hesitate to get one if need something strong and resistant material.
