I know you can see it in the picture, but this thing is really big. I do not recommend it for a newborn as it will cover their face.However, it is very soft and warm. It has the exact same appearance/color as shown in the picture. It will keep your baby very warm (I use it outside of the carsest for now), and the quality is very good!

Does not work for baby car seat
The blanket itself seems nice but it does not have enough slits at the bottom for all the belts/harnesses to go through. It only has 4 slits at the top for the chest harness to go through and 1 slit at the bottom for the crotch buckle. It is missing 2 slits to both sides of the crotch buckle for the tongues to go through. Thus, the car seat cannot be fastened with the blanket on. It's cannot be used for its intended purpose. Unfortunately, I did not notice this at first and it's now past the return window. So now I have a useless item. What a waste of money.
