Hiccups: Season 1
R**L
Another Funny Show from Brent Butt & Co.
This show features the same brand of humor as Corner Gas. With an urban setting Brent Butt and his wife Nancy Robertson are playing completely different characters from their Corner Gas days, but the chemistry still works great. Writing, directing and music are from the Corner Gas crew, and this is a good showcase for Robertson's comedic talents. The supporting cast is not quite as strong and endearing as Corner Gas, but you warm up to them as the season progresses. Give it a try!

funny, LOW-key humor -- and no idiot laugh-track
Dry, clever humor, and a cast that plays WELL off each other; co-creators Nancy Robertson and Brett Butt enjoy themselves in front of the camera, and Laura Soltis has the series-anchoring role of "the character who's funny but ISN'T eccentric" ...Season 2 never made it to DVD -- but is available on YT!

Light easy fun
I'm a big fan of Brent Butt and Nancy Robertson - you know, a big fan of Corner Gas. This is an enjoyable show and I will probably buy season two, mostly because I have an huge crush on Paula Rivera. She plays Stan's (Butt) wife, Anna.Stan is a life coach hired to help Millie (Roberston) deal with her "Hiccups": unfiltered public outbursts at the daily annoyances we all experience. The thing is is that Stan is not qualified to be life coaching anyone. Luckily Millie is enamored of his abilities and she's just happens to be a millionaire children's book author. And Stan is kept motoring along because of the sweetness and support of Anna.I thought the premise set-up in the first show was great. Millie goes ballistic on some clueless numb-nuts holding up the line at the coffee shop because he can't decide what he wants. But the subsequent shows are just about Stan trying to mitigate Millie silliness throughout greater Vancouver BC. Watchable, enjoyable and no annoying laugh track.

Not to good
I really enjoy Corner Gas and was hoping for something similar. Unfortunately this isnβt it. In fact I have only watched half of the episodes and put it aside. If you are a Bret Butt fan I would avoid this title.

Nancy and Brent Are At Their Very Best
This is a funny - no, hilarious - offering from the zany minds of Brent Butt and Nancy Robertson. They are two of Canada's leading comedians and have dealt us a witty and entertaining show. They, of course, were the creator and stars of Corner Gas, a comedy set in a small town in Saskatchewan. I don't know how big the audience was in Canada for CG, but everyone I shared it with here in the States just loved it. Hiccups is no different.Nancy is at her flamboyant best as Millie, a children's author with her brand of rage and Brent is generally overwhelmed and sometimes out of his depth as "Stan Dirko", life coach. The combination is charming at times, maddening at others. But, it is always entertaining. Perhaps the best part of this is that everyone knows people like Millie and Stan.I'm greatly looking forward to season two. C'mon, I'm waiting....

Pretty good if you are a fan of Brent Butt and Nancy Robertson
I bought this because I had been a fan of Corner Gas 1 and while it's certainly not the great show that was, it has its moments. Both Butt and Robertson continue in their respective best styles - Butt as the wry, loveable straight man and Robertson as the manic comical one. Both are more than serviceable in their roles. Where it falls short is the supporting cast. These are not the fine supporting players from Corner Gas, nor do they even approach them. So while the two main characters are worth the watch, the rest are pretty forgetable. Resulting in something worth watching for light fare, but not nearly a can't miss kind of a thing.

Not bad
I couldn't enjoy this show when I first started watching it just because I'm such a huge fan of Corner Gas and had a hard time seeing Brent Butt and Nancy Robertson as any characters other than Brent and Wanda. Although, to my surprise, by the end of the season I found myself really looking forward to season 2 and kind of sad that there won't be a season 3. It's definitely not a show for everyone but it's original and quirky. The subject matter is much cleaner than most other shows on TV now-a-days so I didn't have to cringe if my daughter was in the room while I was watching it.

Also not Corner Gas, but is funny.
I bought this because some of the actors (Bret and Wanda) were in Corner Gas. This video is almost as funny as Corner Gas, and is for children and adults. If you have not seen Corner Gas, you have missed a great series - and a movie too. They are all on Prime.

it was a hiccup
this was a decent show that tried hard. Kelsey Grammer has done some good work since Frasier but nothing as big.thats the pressure on brent butt and nancy robertson right now. brent's writing style is suited to a slower delivery and an intelligent rapport with the viewer. The backers of the show must be chasing snappy one liners hit beloved of the multi script writer of US show's.Brent's comedy is slow burning stuff, almost as if he does not have to say anything and just stand there and look at the audience. that is the cleverest comedy and the hardest to write. It was funny the show but the perhaps the situation was too unreal. The cast and writers still have their talent they will not be out of work I look forward to their new work.

Love the show, wish there was a season 2
Love this show! Lent mine to someone and never got it back so I bought this one. Wish there was a season two. I know it wasn't very popular but I really liked the characters.

Like it
The genius behind Corner Gas does it again. It's fun watching Nancy take on another character and Brent is at his dry humor best. I'm looking forward to many more seasons of this gem
