Not what we expect from this supplier
we have purched several books from this company, however, this one falls short of our expetations. We ordered the coppy "used Very Good" Spine Unbroken, but Its dog eared, has sticky sweet goo on back and pages have gone brown. The spine is most definitely broken. Very disappointed.

What an opening
The book opens like this...`The telephone rang, and she knew she was going to die. She knew it with such certainty that she froze, the razor motionless, her hair stuck to her face by the steam from the hot water condensed on the tile walls. R-r-ring-r-r-ring. She stood very still, holding her breath as though immobility or silence might change the course of what had already happened.'It's an incredible opening for the story of Teresa Mendoza, a woman from Sinaloa Mexico, who builds a multimillionaire drug empire. The book goes between her story as it happens and a reporter who is writing her biography. A great read that I would recommend.

Nothing like the TV series
I was bored of this book very quickly. No redeeming features whatsoever.

Enjoyable Read
A look into drug cartels around the world written as a rollicking story. I didn’t want to put it down.

Great Story , poorly bound
Bought the book for my wife as she was a fan of the Tv Show and she has enjoyed the author and story , however the binding is dreadful , more than 20 pages had fallen out before she finished it ensures that it shall only be read once and thrown in the bin ... for the price i would have expected a much better product, i have paperback books that are over 30 years old , have been reqd multiple times and in better condition, very disappointing

A great novel that I've now read twice
A great novel that I've now read twice. The plot is gripping; a real page turner. The characters are flawed and believable. And the locations - Mexico, North Africa and Southern Spain - come alive to this UK reader who has never visited any of them.
