I got this shoulder rest after reading the many good reviews. It's OK
I got this shoulder rest after reading the many good reviews. It's OK, but I still struggled with positioning and comfort, and no matter what I did or how I adjusted it, it just wasn't quite IT. The solution came when I started watching youtube-videos on shoulder rests and getting the positioning comfortable. I came over a video called "Magic posture for Laura - posted by Animato Strings." In this video a man shows you how - with two simple grips - to bend this very violin rest (the Wolf Forte Secondo) into what he calls the magic posture, and it truly is! I followed the instructions and my world has changed. So: if you have an ever ongoing battle with violin rests my advice is: GET this one and then bend it into the magic posture.

I've finally found the shoulder rest for me!
Can not believe what a difference this Shoulder Rest has made!I've tried Kun, Viva la Musica, Play-on-air..... but none of them felt 'right' for me.I watched a YouTube vid called 'magic posture' with Animato Strings. It shows the Wolfe Forte Secondo being bent (to fit over the shoulder) and then twisted laterally so that every point of this rest is in contact with your body. The feet brackets can also be bent in slightly to make sure that the grip on your violin is firm (I've read reviews that say this shoulder rest slips off, it won't if you do this). The result: No more neck ache or shoulder tension and my vibrato (at last) sounds relaxed.I don't have a long neck and this rest totally works for me. The video shows a girl with a long neck and it even works for her too, so if you're desperate for a solution I can recommend this, plus it's not as expensive as the Bon Musica ...!

Great
I literally just received this and rushed to try it on my violin. Finally, a confortable shoulder rest!I have a prominent collar bone and cheaper rests I had bought including similar rest, and sponge pads had all fallen off or moved as playing, or caused pain. I saw the reviews for this one, another amazon reviewer put to watch the magic position Wolf shoulder rest videos on youtube. I have, and very easily bent it to my body's contours. I am glad I spent a bit more. I guess everyone has different shoulder shapes but I think the cheaper 5 quid rests just do nothing. I snapped one, and the other kept falling off whereaa this has metal arms, a malleable metal pad, and the rubber feet seem to grip onto my violin. It is adjustable and comes with spare spacers in case you need to adjust for a long neck. Glad I spent more now (wish I had in the first place). As a beginner violinist I now look forward to playing in comfort!

Keeps falling off
I bought this from Amazon as it was so highly recommended but It just keeps falling off while I am playing. I have tried readjusting it many times but no improvement so it is practically useless.Update: after much trial and error I have managed to finally adjust this properly so it gives the right support and stays on! Have upped the stars to 5. Brilliant!7

Great product
My daughter was struggling with her violin, finding it uncomfortable during longer practice sessions and performances. Her tutor recommended this and it really has made such a difference. My daughter reports feeling much more comfortable and confident in her playing. Arrived quickly and she says it is easy to attach and to take off again so her violin can be packed away.
