Movie worthy, Laurelin Paige does it again! I love it when a book is this juicy, runs you through a gamut of emotions, and has plot woven this deep. What would you do for the job of your dreams? Not just your dreams, but your husband’s dream as well?

Holt Sebastian and Bristyn Shaw’s story. I hate it. I love it. I don’t know how to describe how I feel about it. I hate that it is a Harvey Weinstein 2.0 story. Brystin wants to fulfill her dream to have her own news show and be the best and hottest news anchor. Her 23 years her senior husband/producer Michael is helping her get there. They have an open marriage, free to date whoever they want but he’s taking advantage of it more than she does. She never strayed. Enter Holt, the CEO of Sebastian News Center. He’s been looking for a fresh face and was taken by her beauty and brains. They made a deal to have her own show but with stipulations that she submits to his sexual needs. In other words, he owns her. At anytime he needs her, she comes and submits. Her husband is aware. Not crazy about this arrangement because I feel it’s demeaning to women. Now I think about the beautiful news anchors on Fox News and Newsmax and think of them like they must have gone through this to get to the top! I hate that I now think this way. I digress. Anyway, the story has an okay plot and a nice HEA.

OMG...Another hit series. I loved, loved, loved this Holt Sebastian and Brystin Shaw. I remember the Sebastians from Man in Charge. Scott and Tess fall in love despite Tess's boss Kendra was supposed to marry Scott. But there were a lot of things wrong with that union and Tess ended up married to Scott and now they are expecting a baby and at the end have a baby. Holt Sebastian was CEO of the company because his father is Samuel Sebastian and Holt's father. Holt obtained the job because his father had a heart attack and so he was named. He broke the Kincaid-King scandal and so he felt he had to get another sensational project going if he was to keep his job as CEO. There are so many secrets that are in the Sebastian family that it leaves you wanting another story about any and all of the billionaires. I would mind having the story of how Holt's father and Giulia met and fell in love with each other. This story is funny because of the romance between Holt and Brystin and wild and crazy because of the fact that Brystin is married to Michael Endlich, and they have an open marriage which he takes advantage, but she doesn't because she thinks she is in love with him even though they can sleep with whoever they want. Michael is older than Brystin. Brystin aka Bryn is an only child. It was her and her mother until her father died as a drug addict and she felt like that her and her mother did not know how to love because they held onto hoping her father would change. So, we find that Bryn and Michael are asked to Holt Sebastian's retreat for the weekend, and they feel it is because they have been working toward getting a job with Sebastian News Corporation. So this Brystin and Holt's story and as stories go it was really very amazing. Now I need to hear some more from the Sebastian family. Loved this story Laurelin keep them coming. This was an awesome read and I would highly recommend this story and if you have not read a book buy Laurelin Paige, this is a good one to start with so you can go back and read some of the other ones after reading this. I give this book Seven Stars because 7 is the number of perfections, completion. Get this book, you will enjoy it,

This book was good but, I don’t like the way things ended for Micheal. At the end of the day Brystin is a grown woman who made the choice to put herself in that that situation-ship so I’m not understanding why Micheal HAD to be the bad guy. Brystin showed strength and growth, Holt showed growth, hell even Jessa show strength and she is barely a character but yet Micheal couldn’t have growth! The book read as if it was all about people growing and finding themselves, so the whole Micheal thing just kind of confused me!

I'm not usually a fan of married women cheating. But it was handled well and she needed out of that marriage. Good job. Great characters. I'm enjoying the Sebastian family.

I couldn’t finish the book. I lost respect for the FMC once she went against everything she supposedly was adamantly against for the sake of a job. I can’t respect that.

This story was just what I needed to get out of a serious slump. After delving into the too dark and too far to the edges of disturbing for too long this story was a delight.A little kinky 🥵🥵🥵a little (lot) Spicy 🌶🌶🌶🌶but never at the expense of the depth of the storyline of character development ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. That is how it earned a full 5⭐️. The author didn't sacrifice a good story for the sake of pearl clutching, panty melting empty tropes. This author gives you all that you want and never needed in a FULL story. Nothing is sacrificed. The most amazing part was the swift pace that never feels rushed. Nothing is skipped while also avoiding the annoying repetitivness.This is my 1st (implied cheating) so I totally expected to come out judgy! Never happened. Really enjoy how these two come together.Can't wait to move to book2

I was leary starting this story. Having the lead heroine in the book be married and not single was not at all my kind of story but it really took on a life of its own with her own relationship with her husband and having it be an open marriage and separate bedrooms. His idea more than hers but she took what she was offered simply because she loved him at the time. She is an up and coming news anchor and her husband her producer and that's when she meets Holt Sebastian who the head of a major news studio. Her husband and Holt talk the night they are invited to the Sebastian family retreat and her husband comes back to their room and says that Holt would like to talk with her in his room. Brystin does go but strikes up a bargain and from there the relationship starts. It's a good story and not your typical romance but a romance just the same. Really enjoyed this story thank you. It's a valuable lesson in how women are exploited in a male dominate world.

I couldn’t get enough of Brystin and Holt. These two were meant to be together from the moment they first met in the elevator.The spice in this book and all the sexual tension between these two was off the charts and they so much deserved to have their happily ever after together when realizing what true love is.Definitely must read!!!

I am sorry, i did not like the story much, that she was in an open marriage and he wanted her body beside that for a job. So not cool. All in all not the book for me, I am not into cheating, even if they had an open marriage, I am not into open marriages and I am not into pressuring someone to do something for a job and I am not into this whole Anker show business. Everything is so shallow and fake. The writing was good. All in all, Sorry a no from me.

Brystin is anchor on a local TV station owned by the Sebastian family. She meets Holt Sebastian, the new CEO on the night she wins an award. She and her producer husband want a place on national television, and Holt can make that happen. But on his terms.I loved, loved, loved this story.I haven't read anything by Paige before, but I found this fascinating and compelling. There are complex issues such as sexual parity, fidelity, honesty and ethics explored as Brystin (hate the name btw) a wonderfully nuanced character, unwraps exactly what it is she truly wants when the influence of others is stripped away.The building relationship between Brystin and Holt is perfect, and the scenes with them are searingly hot.I hated finishing it!

Goodness Laurelin you’ve done it again .. again I took the time to read everyone of your words .. It doesn’t always happen for me I often skim to get quickly to the end … I can count on the fingers of my hands the number of authors I feel I can never get enough of and you are definitely right up there .. I discovered Laurelin Paige a few years ago and read her Fixed series (AMAZING- go read them). I love this series because there’s so many interconnected characters, but many can be read as standalone too.Brutal Billionaire was what I needed to get out of a small reading slump I had this month. Holt played the Ultimate Alpha Hole/assHolt 😅 which may be cringy for some readers who cant appreciate these types of romances. There’s a bit of back of forth with the morally grey alpha hole-ness which, not everyone likes…My favourite parts is the UNDENIABLE CHEMISTRY between Holt and Brystin! And when Holt realizes his trure feelings and finally opens up to Brystin.
