Womens Sun Hat with UV Protection - Hiking Hat Gardening Outdoor Summer Hat - Foldable, Packable, Wide Brim w/Ponytail Hole

This is hands-down the best, most beautiful, practical sunhat I've ever seen. I just used it for a week birdwatching in Florida --- it's lightweight, traveled well, kept the sun off my face and neck perfectly, and looks the best of any camel-driver hat I've ever seen since the 'tail' is integrated with the brim, not a separate piece like my much more $$ name-brand hat. This hat also has a full mesh liner for the entire head, which keeps the air moving all around, AND it has a pony-tail hole for those who need it. I have a big head, and it fits fine. Those with smaller heads can tighten the hat by adjusting the bow and it will still look great. I liked the first one I ordered so much, I ordered a spare and one in blue. If they had it in black, I'd get another one.

I ordered the "Natural Cotton with Ponytail Hole" variety of this hat, and I love it. It's very lightweight, and it's cool in the heat. I'm quite fair-skinned, and will get a burned scalp, neck, and face in a short while, even on an overcast day. The hat has kept me from burning while i putter in my garden allotment.I've also gotten compliments on how cute the hat is. One person didn't like the big bow in the back, but everyone else who's commented on the hat has loved the bowl, so that one person is outvoted!The strap is nice for keeping the hat on, but also when I go into a shady area, I can pull the hat off and the strap keeps it hanging on my back. The hat stays on easily, and there's a band around the inside of the brim of material that absorbs sweat so it doesn't run into your eyes if you're doing something physical in the heat.I don't know how to wash it--I guess by hand. And it did arrive pretty wrinkled, but the wrinkles eventually fell out for the most part.I can't speak for the other "models" made of different fabric or with different styles, but i recommend this hat completely.

I own a couple of hats in this style and they are really great for sun protection, so when I saw a black one for a decent price, I decided to give it a try. This particular hat fell short for me in a couple of places. First of all, the loops for the chinstrap are placed a little too far back on the brim. They hang over my ears, which gets uncomfortable and when the wind kicks up, the hat flies off of my head. The second problem is that the circumference of the hat runs a bit small. I have a pretty average sized head, but this hat squeezes me rather tightly. I can wear it, but it leaves nasty hat marks all around my head when I take it off and when it does fly off my head because of the wind, it is hard to get back on and get the hair situated. On the upside, it is lightweight and seems like it will hold up well. Also, when I wash it, the water beads up and runs right off of it, so although I haven’t tested this part out in a real rain situation, it seems like the waterproof factor will be pretty good. The sun protection is great and the ponytail hole is nice to keep the hair off the neck for extra cooling.Update 1/2/2021So, the hat feels a bit better now that I have worn it a lot. It seems that the hat band has stretched a bit and it no longer leaves deep marks on my forehead when I take it off. I still wish that the loops for the chin strap were farther forward for comfort and windy days. The biggest reason I’m updating and adding a star is that I recently had an issue with the hat and when I reached out to the seller, Tough Outfitters, they were amazing. They promptly wrote back and gave me a partial refund so that I could replace the chin strap, on which the plastic toggle had broken. Fantastic customer service!

After buying a total failure of a hat at the local Target store I spent days looking on Amazon for something actually useful and smart at the same time. This Sun Hat for Women is all a girl could wish for on a hot summer day to protect herself. The fabric is thin and light, and this breathable cotton keeps the head cool in the heat. The best bit about the hat is the ponytail hole. All girls with long hair have a problem to avoid feeling uncomfortable on the neck area while wearing a hat. The problem is solved with this stylish hat. The half brim is really wide but surprisingly elegant. Unfortunately, my hat arrived folded and the brim had a rather worn look. I'd highly recommend this hat and the seller (but please please do not fold this brilliant item when posting to your next customers, thanks). P.S. A quick update: the seller contacted and offered a refund. That was a generous gesture which makes me consider more purchase from them in the future. The folded brim is almost straight after I left it under heavy books overnight. If a hat can be perfection that's it. I can't imagine going out without this hat any more. Thanks whoever made it!

I use this hat for so many purposes. I had neck cancer and with radiation treatment, I needed UV protection on the back of my neck. The flaps cover this area and the hat is lightweight, yet of good quality. Washable, and when packing it, it is very compact and folds well. I have long hair again and my ponytail fits in the hole in the back. Highly recommend.

The strap buckle is made of very cheap plastic. The material is also very basic, I tried to tighten the loop around my chin and the strap broke, i.e, the stitches that held the loop it to the plastic buckle unravelled. I was in the garden with no needle and thread, and just tied a knot to keep it in place.There is no way to adjust the size of the hat also. This is a bit large for my head and the shade cuts out my view a bit. I now wear it lopsided to be able to see and get shade.To be frank, this is about a $5 product. Overpriced for sure. Will use it as is for however long it lasts, and go buy my next one in person, from a store.
