These are extremely heavy duty and work as other high quality disposable cutlery.

This is a pretty great set and I look for anything that is compostable these days. I like to keep disposables around and they are a great alternative. The only thing is I wish there were separate sets, I would easily forgo the knives and choose more spoons and forks. I feel like I am wasting because we rarely use the knives. Otherwise I am happy with the set. They are pretty comfortable to use in hand and to eat with.

This Greener Settings 200pc set is a lifesaver in my household. We try to limit water consumption so I try to purchase disposable utensils to cut down on water waste and it makes cleaning up easier as well.This set came in a compostable box with dividers to separate the plastic cutlery for conveniency. This tray can also be removed for easier accessibility and organization. This cutlery set includes 100 forks, 50 spoons and 50 knives. I could have used 100 spoons and eliminated the knives but this still works. These plant-based utensils are elongated like my full size silverware set, strong & solidly designed. The quality is excellent and so much better than your standard plastic utensils.The only issue I have is that the box did not include a seal of any sort. I would have preferred a tamper free seal or plastic wrap around it for safety purposes. Unfortunately, it didn’t have either so I’ll have to wash these before use which kinda defeats my purpose of water reduction.Nevertheless, this Greener Settings Cutlery Set is recyclable, biodegradable, nontoxic, heat resistant up to 185° and very sturdy…….So it definitely serves its purpose as well as supporting our eco-friendly lifestyle & our contribution to to saving our planet.

As an old guy with limited mobility, I use disposable dinnerware to make things easier on myself. These days it seems like there are more and more compostable disposable products like these and I'm glad to see it. Compostable spoons, forks, and knives are certainly gentler on the environment than plastic ones are. Given that though, I have also noticed that there is a quality difference between the various compostable cutlery products. Some are definitely better than others and this set is right up there with the best I've used.Why do I say that? Well, these utensils are stronger than others I've used. The knives have a better cutting edge than most other disposable ones I've used, either compostable or plastic. Other compostable forks I've use have had blunt edges on the tines, making it harder to spear food and pick it up. Or they've had sharper tines that broke off easily into your food. The tines on these forks are sharp enough to get the job done but not so pointy that they break off.The packaging is also very nice. The way the box is organized, I can just leave on my kitchen counter and open it up to grab whichever utensils I need. One set of forks I tried had each fork individually wrapped, which was a pain, having to unwrap one every time I needed it and then throwing out the plastic wrapping. Another set of forks came all wrapped tightly in one plastic sheet. The forks were so tightly bound together that getting them out when I needed just one was a hassle. In the ad copy for this set, they brag about how stylish and easy to use their "unique sectional compostable cardboard box" is and I whole-heartedly have to agree with them. As someone who has been using plastic and compostable cutlery for years, I really do think this is one of the best sets I've tried and I give it a well-deserved full five star rating.

This compostable cutlery is fantastic. I don’t generally like using disposable items, but recently my dishwasher broke and since I am limited mobility and use a wheelchair, I can’t reach my sink to wash dishes like most people can. Therefore, I needed to find a different solution to use in the time I was waiting for my new dishwasher to be installed.I was delighted to find this disposable cutlery. The set includes a large number of sets. I suppose there are extra forks to account for if this is used for an event and there is a salad or dessert course, which is nice. These would certainly be “dressy” enough to use for any special event such as a wedding. The items are all very sturdy. I didn’t experience any issues with melting; I was able to use the forks and spoons directly in hot items out of the oven without any problem. The knives - while of course not being sharp enough to cut anything super tough - were surprisingly awesome and cut through nearly everything I used them for! The cherry on top of all the other positives is that these are 100% compostable. They even come packaged in cardboard, with an internal cardboard divider system that is quite nice and would allow for the cutlery to be placed directly out onto a serving space for people to take themselves (for example, if you used these at a buffet or picnic).I am so happy with these and have zero complaints. I will definitely be coming back to get more when I run low, and even though I now have a new dishwasher installed and am back to using my regular silver, I have bookmarked this seller so I can come back to get this compostable cutlery the next time I do a social event. Highly, highly recommend! This is the cutlery to get!
