As good as paper, better that other permafilters.
So, I got this for my wife. I like silt in my coffee. Makes you grow big and strong. Wife does not. Got this for a second pour over coffee maker...to my surprise, it is superior to other permanent filters. Less than 5% of silt gets through. It catches the super fine coffee "mud".The good news is it provides a silt free pure coffee. The catch on that is that it can clog fairly quickly depending on how you use it. I use it for my cold brew system with a finer grind. It catches all the silt, but needs cleaning after half a pot. Easy enough to clean, just rinse it out. When used for actual pour over coffee...let's just say my wife will settle for nothing less. Catches as much debris as paper, without the waste. I am a coffee snob and I am super happy about this. For those wondering, my cold brew uses a gold mesh permanent filter. That filter catches the big stuff, this catches the impossibly small stuff. It's like a HEPA filter for your coffee. If you want an alternative to paper without sacrificing performance, buy this.

So far so good. Makes great cup of coffee allowing essentials oils to pass through the filter and into your coffee. With fresh beans ground medium fine, it’s hard to beat. The flavor compares to French press but without the grinds and soot passing into your cup. The only issue with this type of filter is preventing the oils from clogging the filter media. After brewing rinse under hot water (wait for the water to be hot cuz if you start with cold water rinse the oils will solidify on the filter) and rub thumb on both sides of the filter to clean. Hope this helps.

Metallic coffee
I’ve now had mine for 1.5 months. Love that it saves me from buying paper filters so it has already paid itself off in a months time. Fits perfectly in my 8 cup Chemex coffee maker. Easy to wash. However, it did not hold its shape well, after a few washes (by hand) mine is all crinkly and doesn’t look as pretty as when I got it, not the end of the world. Water filters through pretty fast so I don’t feel my coffee is as strong tasting as it could be. And recently I’ve started noticing a metallic taste in my mouth and coffee - not sure how safe that can be. (Shrugs shoulders) Assuming not too good...

Good reusable filter
This is a great filter to use if you don’t wanna use paper filters. Have to clean it daily to make sure it’s flowing correctly otherwise it will get gunked up and will take forever to drain. Hot water and soap work or you can use the solvent the sell which works amazingly

Good Filter
We've been using this filter for a couple of weeks now and it does just as well as the paper filters. We had to get used to cleaning it out every time. We'll probably get another one down the road.

Makes a great and fast cup of coffee
I love everything about it. I'm sorry I did not submit review sooner. I thought I had bought 2 and regrettably only bought one. When I went in to Amazon to buy another, discovered it is no longer available. I hope this product returns. , easy to clean and love its easy fold/ flat put away style. Wish I could buy it from people who didn't like it.Gonna see if it can be located in Japan.

Far above my expectations! The mesh of this filter is so fine that it drains at a very similar rate to a paper filter. If you grind your own coffee this filter is excellent and will only allow a tiny amount of the finest dust through. Not enough to even notice in that last drop of coffee at the bottom of your cup. Very portable. Hard to imagine this being any better than it is now.

Very very very fine brew. Super nice for the coffee enthusiest. No muck what-so-ever at the bottom of the cup.
Works good. Super super super fine. A+. Just be careful at the cone tip, I cut the hell out of my finger on the steel end.
