I wanted several USB-C and USB-A ports for my Mac, so I bought the hub with 4 USB-C ports and another UGreen USB-C hub providing 4 USB-A ports. This is faster and cheaper than two of the 2C+2A hubs. The hub connects 3 USB-C drives and the other hub just fine. It is very fine, so it is just taped to the back of my monitor and completely out of the way, the 15 cm cable is just long enough for that. It runs at 10 Gbit/sec which is enough for many SSD drives. No problems at all.

I purchased this splitter hub to connect to my Macbook 16" laptop - M1 Pro. It will also work on Windows based computers with USB-C connections My Mac uses Thunderbolt connections (USB-C compatible) which transfer data at 40 gbps but Thunderbolt hubs are expensive at around £130 to £300, depending on spec and manufacturer, so I opted for a slower data transmission speed with the Ugreen splitter, which transfers data at up to 10 gbps (depending on the specification of your PC/Laptop) which is plenty for my needs. In use, I can't really tell the difference in transfer speeds but I am talking about home use and not commercial or business usage where demands for speed and power may be more critical The Ugreen hub is lightweight, finished in matt silver-grey on an aluminium case, and has a short 24cms (just under 10") tethered cable with a USB-C plug to connect to my laptop. The hub will fit easily into a pocket or laptop case The hub worked straight out of the box with no setting up procedures or installation issues - just plug in and go! Reading other reviews, I think it is important to note that this Ugreen hub has no facility for charging other devices and does not have any outlets (HDMI, USB-A, SD card slots etc) other than the 4 x USB-C ports. I use it purely to backup data onto 3 xSSD external hard drives, which it does just fine. At £20.99 with next day Prime delivery, I am very happy with my purchase. Recommended

Excellent build quality and works well. I haven’t done any speed tests with it but seems to flawlessly connect all my devices. This isn’t a powered hub which prompted me to extend my setup with an additional powered hub for the hungrier devices. Good stuff.

Decent hub. But why does Windows Event Viewer tell me that it is stopping the computer sleeping? I noticed this, and it does stop the display turning off, especially when you have an A drvice connected with an A to C adapter.

Connected a Samsung t7 ssdc usb 3.2 to each port in turn and measured the speed - same everywhere. I then connected the t7 and a WD Ultra My Passport (USB 3.0) simultaneously and did a Bacup of t7 to WD - speed was as defined for the WD. Good performance. The device itself looks and feels good and has a thick/robust/quality connecting cable . No problems.

Der UGREEN USB C Hub 10 Gbps ist für meinen Alltag als Video-Editor ein echtes Arbeitspferd und erleichtert mir viele Aufgaben. Besonders die Verarbeitung ist hochwertig, das Gehäuse wirkt robust, und das Kabel fühlt sich verstärkt an, was Vertrauen in die Langlebigkeit des Hubs gibt. Geschwindigkeit und Leistung: Die Datenübertragung ist wirklich schnell. Ich habe damit bereits 40 GB große Dateien verschoben, und das ging relativ flott, vor allem in Kombination mit einer SSD. Exakte Übertragungszeiten habe ich zwar nicht gemessen, aber für den täglichen Einsatz ist die Geschwindigkeit absolut ausreichend. Auch wenn mehrere Geräte gleichzeitig angeschlossen sind, bleibt die Performance stabil. Anschlüsse: Der Hub bietet vier USB-C 3.2 Ports, was für mich in den meisten Fällen ausreichend ist. Für kreative Arbeiten wie Musikproduktion könnte ich ein oder zwei zusätzliche Anschlüsse gebrauchen, aber das ist kein großer Nachteil, da ich den Hub hauptsächlich als Arbeitsgerät nutze. Ich war mir bei der Anschaffung bewusst, dass es vier Ports sind, und für das, was er bieten soll, bin ich zufrieden. HDMI-Anschluss: Ich habe den HDMI-Anschluss mit einem externen Monitor ausprobiert, und er funktioniert einwandfrei. Die Verbindung erfolgt schnell, und die Bildqualität ist solide. Ich hatte keine Verzögerungen oder Komplikationen beim Umschalten oder Anschließen. Kompatibilität: Bisher war der Hub mit allen meinen Geräten, wie meinem MacBook Pro und verschiedenen USB-Geräten, kompatibel. Es gab keine Verbindungsprobleme, egal ob ich eine externe Festplatte, einen USB-Funkadapter oder andere Peripherie angeschlossen habe. Verarbeitung und Design: Insgesamt wirkt der Hub sehr robust und langlebig. Besonders das USB-Kabel ist verstärkt, was sich bei der täglichen Nutzung positiv bemerkbar macht. Das Design ist unauffällig, aber funktional – genau das, was ich von einem solchen Gerät erwarte. Ein kleiner Nachteil: Bei längerer Nutzung wird der Hub ein wenig warm, aber nicht übermäßig, sodass es für mich kein Grund zur Sorge ist. Fazit: Der UGREEN USB C Hub ist ein solides, schnelles und gut verarbeitetes Gerät, das für den Alltag und kreative Arbeiten gut geeignet ist. Für alle, die viele Peripheriegeräte gleichzeitig nutzen möchten, könnten die vier Anschlüsse möglicherweise etwas knapp bemessen sein. Insgesamt bin ich jedoch sehr zufrieden und würde ihn weiterempfehlen.
