The Magnetic Pickup Tool is a great way to retrieve fallen bolts and screws from the ground or from around the motor or wherever you need to retrieve them from. I like that I can use it to pick up screws from hard to reach areas where I can use my hands to grab them. Nice tool for around the shop.

I bought for a different purpose. I walk two dogs and often we have off leash dogs run up to us. I'm able to quickly open it, and use as a long stick to prevent the off leash dog from contacting my dogs. Acts as a barrier to protect my dogs. To protect everyone. My goal isn’t to touch the off leash dog, just to keep it away from us. It’s lightweight, fits in my pockets, and opens fast. Some people will not change, and we unfortunately experience dogs running up to us regularly.

With todays cars having more wires, hoses, skid plates and parts jammed under the hood, sooner or later you are going to drop something down there and out of reach.
