Works as described. It shows as to whether the brake fluid has been corroded and needs to be replaced.

Works great. Tested it against actual water and brake fluid and did what it's supposed to. Others might say there's didn't work or whatever but it's a numbers game, there will be bad ones sometimes, but just send it back and get another

I recently purchased the Brake Fluid Liquid Tester, but unfortunately, I wasn't able to verify its accuracy. My brake fluid is over 5 years old, and I was expecting the tester to show some deficiencies or contamination, but it didn't indicate any issues. While the tester works as expected in terms of functionality, I couldn't confirm its effectiveness in detecting brake fluid problems. I gave it 4 out of 5 stars mainly for its manufacturing quality—though it's not particularly solid or durable, it still feels reasonably well-made for the price. Overall, it's an easy-to-use tool, but without being able to verify its accuracy, I'm left uncertain about its reliability in detecting brake fluid issues.

I can’t really say if I trust this. If you dip this into some very obviously old fluid that is compressing and in need of replacement, it will light up somewhat green. If you run it under water though, it will show red. So clearly it works and can detect moisture, but on the side of detecting it in brake fluid and knowing when it’s too high, im not sure if I’d rely on it.

Item worked backward. I put it in a unopened bottle of brake fluid I got from Amazon and had the worst reading saying moisure was >4%. Then I put the probe in the brake fluid in the reservoir of my truck that I was about to change and it said the moisture was 0% although the fluid was 7 years old in my vehicle.
