Cute
Cute story about how a well meaning owner got a "friend" for their dog who considered his life perfect as it was. In the end, they find common ground. Cute and well illustrated.

is a delight! Mister Bud is Big Dog around the house
Say Hello to Zorro! is a delight! Mister Bud is Big Dog around the house, not having to share his couch, leash time, bed, or water bowl with anyone. Then Zorro arrives. Mister Bud is resentful at first, until he discovers he and Zorro have a lot in common. Now he has someone to play with, get in trouble with, snuggle with when home alone, and even walks are more fun. Mister Bud learns he and Zorro can even disagree and still be friends. Told with clear, easy language, 5-8 words per page, and warm homey illustrations, Say Hello to Zorro! is perfect for even the youngest audiences. Great for toddlers to 6 years. Perfect addition to family library, especially those expecting a second or third child, or blending families. I always buy this as a gift for a child expecting a younger sibling.

Great book for dog lovers.
If you want to know what will happen when you introduce a new pet into the family this is the book for you. "voices" are written in two different fonts and colors so I can read it with my grandson and we take different parts. So much fun.

These are the best! Bought this one a couple years ago for our son, it is adorable. Recently got the other two in the series from the library, will be buying them soon too! Series is funniest if you read this one first, and they all have great messages about sharing, acceptance, and friendship that are easy to understand but subtle enough to keep the books funny. Artwork is great!

Adult dog owners really appreciate the humor and the great illustrations - even more than the kids
I had this book in a classroom library for several years. Recently, after a conversation about dogs and their 'schedules' with our local kennel proprietor, I had to get a copy for him. Adult dog owners really appreciate the humor and the great illustrations - even more than the kids. I used to get great reviews from parents who found the book extremely amusing. Oh, and did I mention.... I bought a copy for myself, too.

Welcome to the family!
This is a wonderful series (the first of three...so far). I really enjoyed it and loved the drawings, as well. The book delivers a wonderful message about welcoming someone new to the family through the story of two dogs - Mister Bud and Zorro. They are both charming and their distinct personalities come across in this short, children's book. I have bought it for friend's baby showers, too!

Cute and funny
My 4 year old daughter is a huge fan of the movie, Despicable Me and Carter Goodrich is the lead character designer from that movie. I figured she would like this book and I was right. It's a simple story about Mister Bud who is very particular about his daily routine and then one day a new dog (Zorro) shows up. It's a fairly short book and an easy read for kids. I would recommend it for the 4 year old crowd.

Classic story for introduction of a new child or pet into a family.
Lovable story of introducing a new pet or child into a family. This book was recommended to me, and I have sent it to my childrne with children. The disruptions of a new pet or child into a family are told and illustrated with humor and gentleness. But the warnings hidden in that gentleness are stern for the disruption that can occur.

A definite household favorite - bought more for our friends too
A definite household favorite - bought more for our friends too. Its the epitome of a big-dog-small-dog household, just like how my two dogs are (one big, one small). Carter Goodrich nailed it - for both grown up AND kids and the illustrations I find totally fun and fantastic.
