Pixel-free, super bright, COB strips at a good price
They're bright an they're awesome. I love this style of lightingThe high-density COB 24V strips solve a lot of problems at once, but there's some burden on you to know the tradeoffs. They're very comparable to other strips in this class, but they're different than the holiday ropes you used to play with as a child.A controller of some kind is responsible to get the most benefit from these. One "pixel" controls 63 LEDs, so it's comparable to 21 pixels in other strips. The upswing is that the pixels are so incredibly dense compared to the strips using 50x50mm that if you're putting them behind a diffuser or in an direct light scenario, they look AMAZING. By controlling this many pixels at once, they're able to keep the promise of constand current if you cut them into multiles of 21 bulbs, which they make it easy to do.These are 24V strips, so the voltage drop across them is negligable which allows you to make long runs of these between power injection points. This is a bare kit which requires/allows you to get your own power supply and controller, whether that's an SP6xx or one of your own like the WLED or NightDriverLED open-source software. I tested both on this strip and they both worked and looked great.Their adhesive is exactly the disappointing type a cynic would expect. Be prepared t put them in a channel good advice for heat dispersion, but a tad unnecessary given their resolution) or to provide your own double-stick adhesion or other solution.

Great if you need 12V
Got these to add to a magic mirror and they worked well. The 24v is a less common supply but you get a better power out of it in the end. I like how this was a addressable and the covering on the lights is a great diffuser.

worked great for crafts
My son left a skateboard deck at home when he left for college. Eight years later, I found it up in the attic and used this kit to make a light for him.I used alcohol swipes to clean off where the tape would sit. Even with the cleaning, some spots (corners) lifted up a bit. Not horribly but not stuck down like I wanted. It was easy to put together. Pretty much plug and play. The controller came in a static blocking bag and has lots of color options. I really liked that I didn't have to go hunting for a power converter for this. It came with one in the kit.Overall, it worked great!

Better than LED strips from a few years ago, but not the best adhesive
The media could not be loaded. This is not a bad kit for what you get. The price might be a little off-putting, but it does include a hefty adapter that other strips don't provide. There's a low quality feel to the remote (as with almost all- because they would rather that you use the app. The other big problem that has yet to be solved for most LED strips is the lack of a decent adhesive.Because this is an improvement over some older versions of LED strips, but really not a great effort into addressing the usual frustrations. I took off only a single star for the adhesive strip. I wish they'd just leave them off altogether and you can easily DIY a better way to get these to stay where you mount them. The one improvement which makes these look better is the addition of a thin silicone strip covering the LEDs, which on other cheaper strips are the actual exposed LEDs that give off individual "spots" instead of giving a continuous flowing effect (like Neon). Looking at it, it appears to be they just laid down a pretty even bead of hazy silicone caulking with a machine. But it does have a much better effect. And for the price, you can't beat it unless you step up to the more specialty strip LEDs.It's got a lot of presets built into the app. I think at least 150 different variations of color and motion. Really only about 6 types of motion (wave, meteor, chase, blink, alternate, bounce, etc.) and then a big variety of colors for each effect. If you have the extra equipment to attach, you can do even more with a little microcontroller running some of the popular LED packages. It doesn't have the ability for each LED to be individually addressable, but it does have it on a per-section basis. Maybe 12 LEDs can be addressed. With the diffuser, this becomes much less noticeable because of the way the light from each individual LED gets dispersed by the hazy silicone piece. This set is great for a specific purpose, like adding some cool effects to the underside of a pool-table, or some other project like that. It has everything you need to add the cool lighting effects to a doorway, or a bookshelf, but you'll need to get something better to make it stick. Sometimes they will stick for a while, but eventually, I've never seen any set of LED strip-lights that didn't eventually become unglued from whatever surface it was on and end up as a big pile of lights drooping or sometimes falling off all the way. But, the inclusion of the transformer adapter and the controller itself is a nice addition worthy of a kit.Overall, not bad for adding some decent lighting effects to a simple project. Four stars.

Bright and beautiful. Great value for the price.
The media could not be loaded. This is a really, really great light strip! I’m not necessarily an expert on light strips or anything. I’ve installed an LED light strip that came with a piece of furniture, and I’ve used a Govee outdoor light strip. Both of those work well. The light strip that came with my furniture was nowhere near as nice as this one, and it seems like the particular Govee light strip I have is really intended for outdoor use because the LEDs are pretty far apart. The LEDs on this strip, though, are close together and look like something out of Tron.I really like this a lot. I LOVE that this comes with a remote and doesn’t require that I install yet another app or register for an account to use the light that I purchased. Thank you for that. I tried to capture the light in a video, but it’s a little difficult. Check it out to see what this light can do. Oh, and don’t use it coiled like that. It gets a little warm. I only left it like that so I could make the video and didn’t want to film where I’m going to install it (See Video).
