Cortina 95-03-009 3 Piece Triangle Warning Kit

Last weekend, we encountered an accident on a highway one night and were trying to slow and move the traffic over with just flashlights. It wasn't until someone stopped with triangle flares that we were able to close the lane down. Before that happened, it was a terrifying experience with cars screeching through the debris on the road. We were sure that there would be another accident soon. We decided that we needed to carry the triangle flares in every vehicle and not just some of them. I ordered these for our new car. They seem fine, but I broke a little tab off when I was gently trying to set them up to inspect them. The tab is used to secure it in the assembled position. In an emergency, I might not be so careful, but on the other hand they might just get run over and destroy. We lost one from another set when someone ran it over and we had to buy a single replacement triangle flare. Other than the fragile tab, I am happy with them.

I thought they sent us the wrong item, since the box was so heavy. These triangles are durably made. After being career military, I would say these are quite similar to what we carried in all our trucks. Definitely not meant for carrying on the motorcycle, they are heavy and durable. We have seen people buy similar models at local big box stores for twice the cost. You want a real deal, buy these.

We ordered this for our son who was making a long-distance trip home from college. Nice sturdy triangles--(Luckily) we haven't had to use them yet, but they certainly appear as advertised. After taking all 3 of them out, getting them back in the case for the 1st time is a bit of a puzzle--but not too bad. Just pay attention when you take them out. I'd purchase again.

These triangles are easy to remove from the case and set up, and while I'haven't tested them in high winds they seem very sturdy, with heavy weights on the bottom to keep them upright. I am very happy with the purchase. One word of warning, the case is larger than I expected and doesn't fit very well in any nook or cranny of the trunk; but I feel it's a small price to pay for the good product and added safety.

These safety triangles are much larger than i expected. They seem appropriate for being broke down on a fast highway. Wind will not tip them over. They are not quick to deploy and the sturdy case is a bit large. In fact its larger than the kit sold at a local truck stop. I chose to permanently remove one of the triangles from the box to create more space inside. Now the box has room for my folding lug wrench and several 6” light sticks in addition to the 2 remaining triangles.

its really well built but one thing hardly any one mentions in their reviews is the fact how heavy they are. I haven't checked but they weight probably easily 20-30 lbs for the whole thing. That's a good thing as you don't want them flying away on a windy day. But carrying them around in a small car all the time may affect your gas mileage down the road. Otherwise its a good product.

I just opened the box and inspected the contents. All 3 of these reflective triangles are in working order but the black base of these items look worn and scraped to a high degree and thankfully not damaged. I've had these same reflectors in my first auto 30 years ago and I can tell you it's a sturdy product overall I'm glad I purchased another set. As for the (red) container it is of very thin cheap quality and it does not have a carrying handle.

Bought for my vehicle emergency kit. Read bunch of reviews of triangles blowing over on highway/interstate. Not this one. It’s heavy and seems well made. 3 triangles in a kit and folds up and away easily. Probably just leave it in the car until you need it. Heavy o be moving it around.
