Accurate and handy.

The thermometer has a collapsible probe that snaps out for use and snaps back in afterward. It does have an auto-on/off function, but there's also a central on/off button for manual control (a feature I love, as I am constantly wanting to turn it off without closing it). The thermometer does take a few seconds to read the temperature of anything it probes, but not so long that it makes any difference - the readings are all quick and accurate. There's even a scale printed on the plastic grip that shows the correct temperatures for heating various types of meat (or cooking steaks to perfection), which is great if you're forgetful like me and need to look these things up regularly.Amazing accuracy and really easy to use, would recommend more for bbq to check if cooked properly and the temperature guide on the box and product is great and really useful. Everyone should have one of these in their kitchen!

Works really well, only downside is it doesn't turn itself off if you forget to shut it, and when you turn it on it always defaults to Fahrenheit, be easier if it remembered I want centigrade. There is some info printed on it about safe cooking temps, which is useful — but the print is so small you need really good eyesight! These are minor points, happy overall.

Great piece of kit. I have one in the kitchen and one in with the BBQ tools . If I could give more stars I would and not just for the product. The seller goes above and beyond for you. In with the thermometer I received four spare batteries, a mounting clip and a laminated meat temperature guide. This is a great product to use, as I buy this to test my travel mug's temperature. It is very slight and handy to use, also easy to read as meter shows the temperature clearly and accurately. It is a little bit slow to get the reading but I understand this allow the thermometer to reach the most accurate temperature which you are happy to wait with. Although it is a little bit pricey than the one I saw in the supermarket, but considering the quality, I do believe it is worth for the money I spent. Definitely, recommend this lovely product to anyone who wants a handy and accurate thermometer.

Thought I’d revisit this review again 18 months on after using it for a batch of fudge this morning. It’s still an amazing piece of kit and comes out the drawer maybe once a week still. Never had to change batteries in the 18 months I’ve had itFor cheap Chinese tat this particular ‘tat’ is pretty good! We’ll made and comes with a few spare bits. Been using it a few months now with no issues.

I accidently put this in the washing up bowl of soapy water...….. its not waterproof :(

I bought this as a present for my daughter as I have a similar one which I find really good
